but carney is more developed and accomplished player at this point in time... injury and an average game playing out of position ended his chances for game 1, but no doubts in my mind, at this point in time. Carney is the better player.

TBH i have grave fears for Mullen's SOO career if picked, debut SOO player, playing the most important position on the park, at Suncorp full of 50 000 screaming Queenslanders baying for blood, and the bloke has 20 games to his name and all of an very inconsistant nature... never the less playing opposite the best player in the game today in Thurston

lets say he has an off night, makes some errors and doesnt do much which is still a 50/50 chance of happening each time he runs on the feild for the knights let alone NSW, and the blues get smashed, which is imo a distinct possibility... then he gets dropped... cant do a kid with 20 games FG confidence all that good. It could really do some damage to his development. Which will only hurt NSW in the long run... tbh im sort of glad Carney is out of the running, as everything i said about mullen just then can be applied to Carney.

For the sake of form, Carney and Mullen (aside from Monaghan and Canasta) are the only two halves that have shown any real class in the last month or so (as far as nsw go)

Mullen has done absolutely nothing all year. Even Brett Finch has had more dominant games this year than Mullen has. Todd Carney should be the one receiving all the press at the moment, but instead it's Mullen because, as one commentator put it, "he's doing the hardest job in rugby league, stepping into Joey's shoes, and deserves selection because of that."

bullsh*t!!!! Mullen is a hack. If Mullen is selected, not only will it show that if you play for Canberra you might as well give up on the thought of Origin because the selectors are f**king blind, useless pricks, but NSW will lose by 70 and Mullen will never be heard from in Origin again.

I've watched pretty match every Knights match this year, including Saturday's against the Warriors. I didn't think he was one of the top three players on the field, and neither did Greg Alexander, the man awarding Dally M points in that match.

Mullen has been playing well, ad he's been unlucky not to pick up points on a few occasions, but I mean I think you'll find Buderus and especially Kurt Gidley hae been hogging most of the points from knights games
