The difference between us and the Roosters is that when we "bought", we bought quality players that have us in a strong position to win the premiership.

You're currently hotly contesting the spoon with your "prime purchases".
That's because they bought lazy arse Bulldogs 'stars' and you bought Dragons and Broncos. Surprise package was Noddy... blamed for years of Sharks' failures, yet when he leaves...

Remember that the very same purchases got us to 4th last year.

O'Meley has been injured for most of the season, Mason has come back from a serious leg injury. Myles has been suspended for disciplinary reasons.

To be fair, your failboat started tanking toward the back end of last year, you bounced out of the finals in straight sets.

As much as I admire the willingness of the dogs to buy to fix weaknesses in their lineup it was galling how they came up with the line and then their supporters jumped on it to have a go at the rooters. You all bought the line so don't go saying it was 'just a slogan' when people rightly call you out for being the massive hypocrites you are.

It was a slogan you f**king goose, a marketing campaign to make $$$. To this day those shirts remain amongst the top ten purchased items at our teamstore.

I think the Roosters should run with it next time you guys play. Would add spice to an already delicious rivalry

All of us? Really? What a load of sh*t. I thought it was pretty damn funny and a fantastic marketing ploy for a game in a season where we were going miserably, was probably the highlight of the year considering how woeful we were on the field. Those who think it was our new motto or anything are plain stupid.

LMFAO at Doggies fans.

The Bulldogs created the slogan themselves to take a shot at other clubs... specifically the Roosters ofcourse.

The same season they create that quote and the Doggies fans are lapping it up and using it, they're out signing eveyr player they can. There's no doubt it was the smart thing to do... but they're still a bunch of hypocrites for trying to insult another club for something and then going out and doing that very thing the same year.

Good idea, silly quote.

In context, the Roosters were notorious big spenders who anually dominated the player trading market. After basically sabotaging the Bulldogs 2008 campaign by signing Mason, their claim felt justified. Unfortunately their management didn't have the ability to predict what kind of effect their slogan would have on the NRL community especially after it became apparant they needed to invest some considerable dosh on the open market.

It was just a very narrow-minded ploy, funny in context, embarrassing in hindsight.

Never the less, well done on the signings Doggies, I'm still very pleased with the progress of the former Broncos quartet.

It was clever marketing and everything else, but "To this day"???

You mean people are still buying them now?

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

That's f**king sensational. I might pick one up to show my support for the Brisbane Bulldogs. :sarcasm:
