I forgot about him. He looks like a star.

NSW could have an utterly dominant pack in a few years if guys like Evans, Klemmer, Woods, Cordner, McKinnon, and Frazer Masinamua develop properly and the likes of Tamou, Grant, Merrin and co don't decline rapidly

And manly stole both hodko and williams off us .... What's. Ur point ?

LOL And didn't they improve while they were at Manly... Keep up the good fight to avoid the spoon for Hindy.

The Roosters just need a few more Canterbury players and then they'd probably go alright. It's worked in the past.

I'm sure Uncle Nick has few in mind already. When are Kasiano and Barba off contract?

Bright prospects in 2013 for the Dogs:

-Josh Jackson & Dale Finucane( I know they're already in the top grade but I think the more time the get the more they're going to develop).
-Tim Lafai if he's not made of glass next season.
- Jon Sila if he loses some weight and we get some back line injuries.

I'm sure Uncle Nick has few in mind already. When are Kasiano and Barba off contract?

Don't even joke!

Kane Evans is every bit as good as Klemmer IMO

Klemmer is a full year younger than Evans.

------

For the Dogs...

Dean Janda looks like a very good hooking option
David Klemmer already mentioned
Josh Jackson is a future Origin backrower
Dale Finucane is NSW version of Steve Price. A 2nd Rower now but will probably end up a prop and a damn good one.
Paul Carter is outstanding as a lock / 2nd Rower

Not sold on any of our backs!!

Hey Doga do you happen to know how long we have Klemmer signed up for ?

Also fwiw I don't think Klemmer, Janda or Carter will be playing first grade in 2013.

No Idea. Both Souths & Parra threw crazy money at Klemmer though but he opted to stay with the club he supports for much less.

I don't think they'll play much FG next year either. I wouldn't be upset if Ennis was to leave though!!

Edrick Lee and Jack Wighton will likely be big contributors next year, both very talented

probably not going to factor until 2014, but Anthony Milford is an absolute freak

Thats really good to hear, I'm sick of seeing us import players who don't have passion for anything but the money. I love seeing players like Reynolds who are passionate for the club, wear the blue and white. From the games I have watched he is going to be something special *knocks on wood*.

I wouldn't be upset if Ennis was to leave though!!

He hasn't been bad this year in terms of dummy half service, but he really needs to cut the bullshit out of his game asap. Ffs we've only won 3 penalty counts this season and he is the most penalised, what makes it worse is that he is our captain. He also has too many brain snaps, like kicking the ball out on the full or passing it to the wrong side.

I don't want him gone for the club but he needs a wake up call of some sort, maybe Des should give him a co-captain.

The prop I'm most looking forward to debuting next year though is David Klemmer from the Dogs. Not sure how much of an opportunity he'll get through with Graham, Tolman and Kasiano all there, and he's still only 18.

Don't you find yourself a little reticent to predict the fortunes of props at the age of eighteen? It is such a difficult position for young players for whom so much can go wrong in their development during those early years.

We are seeing the careful handling of J. Taumalolo at North Queensland right now and it is proving troublesome. At times it is leaving fans questioning whether Henry is the right man to oversee his transition into a first grader. He's spent time in first grade, Queensland Cup and Toyota Cup all in the one season. Now I'm a fan of the soft approach to first grade but at times their doesn't appear to be a plan for a player of his potential.

Whether or not he ends up in the front or second row remains to be seen. He's very damaging running wide but he may end up with too much bulk to play there consistently. Either way, I still feel confident that he will become a very good player for us. But it may not even be next year, 2015 may be the year for the (very) young man.

We have a Perth SG Ball player at the Roosters, Curtis Rona, who was on the cusp of first team this season. Hopefully he will become our first first grade player from our SG Ball development programme next year.

As for $BW, I look forward to seeing him back so someone can smash him first tackle and end his RL career for good.

Rona is at the Cowboys next year. And probably not much chance unless serious injuries bite.

As mentioned, Klemmer and Evans are outstanding prospects. I'd hope to see some of Wayne Ulugia and possibly Zac Santo from the Cowboys, though both are fairly unlikely barring several injuries.

Caleb Timu's debut will be much awaited, as will Evander Cummins'.

Well I alluded to this earlier in that post when I said it's difficult for props to really shine in their debut season in reference to Korbin Sims.

Still doesn't mean I won't be watching keenly to see how some of these star young props handle the step up to grade.

Viapuna Tia-Kalifi is another one to watch for Penrith, he may get a taste of FG this year hopefully. George Jennings & Bryce Cartwright wont feature next year but will make an impact when their time comes.

Oh absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't intimating that you will be completely off in your assessment of Klemmer. It is just that whenever I see a young prop that looks promising I find myself holding back from getting too excited.

It is always a pleasure to see young prop forwards blossom. It is not stated often enough just how difficult the position is to play and the good ones are some of the games elite players.

Hasler is the best person in the NRL to ease a player into 1st grade.

He got plenty of practise easing Buhrer in a few minutes at a time.

Can't wait to see Chee Kam and Gutherson, though the latter may not reach 1st grade until the following year. Heard great things about both these blokes.

Chee Kam is a good player but over the back half of this year, become one of the most selfish players ive ever seen, he'd have about 7-8 try assists to his name if he ever passed when 2 on 1 with the fullback

Agree Raider 69. He looks devastating at times but does not seem to know how to pass or just does not want to. I also think his defence will be found out in the NRL, needs to develop more.

Gutherson from Manly looks a fantastic prospect in the limited times I have seen him. He apparently stood out in the NSW under 18's team along with our young prop Jake Trbojevic. I hear Gutherson might possibly get a shot next year if injuries occur. I cant see Trbojevic getting a chance for at least 2 years. But he is meant to be very good.
