that's right i agree it is hard for a team to win 2 in a row, but one advantage the dragons have is they have depth in the club.Particular if the dragons can win it again this year
if Bennett feels the dragons could do it, that may entice him to stay at the dragons to see if the dragons can be the first club in a long time to make it 3 wins in a row.

He has already contributed to us winning 1. Why on earth would he bother staying on to win 3, when
he has won so many with Brisbane as well? His job is done, mission accomplished at Kogarah/Wollongong
in my book.

Wayne Bennett's son-in-law, former Australia player Ben Ikin, says master coach is undecided on future

Wayne Bennett ... Ikin offers a unique insight into the mind of the master coach. Source: Gregg Porteous / News Limited

The man closer to Wayne Bennett than just about anybody, son-in-law and former Australia utility Ben Ikin, believes the master coach will seek a challenge, not comfort, and is not necessarily any closer to returning to his former home at Brisbane Broncos.

Ikin, who senses Bennett is now "confused" about his future coaching plans in the wake of the sacking of Ivan Henjak, says the lure of Brisbane may not be as strong as widely assumed.

Ikin believes Bennett's next big coaching move will be motivated by his love of a challenge rather than any overwhelming desire for home.

"Wayne's not the kind of guy who'll pour his heart out about how he feels about a situation but I get the feeling he's more confused about things now after what has gone on with the Broncos," Ikin said. "I honestly don't think he's made up his mind about where he wants to be next year.

"Wayne loves the Dragons and is super happy there but, being a driven bloke, I'd say the challenge of going somewhere like the Rabbitohs or Newcastle would be very appealing as well.

"In his own head there are things he wants to get out of his coaching and I'd say he'll go to the club that's the best fit for those things.

"His family is really important to him but things have been really working well with how he manages things with his trips home. He does miss home and he will move home one day but that won't necessarily be in the near future.

"I think, in a funny way, that (wife) Trish is happy only having him home once every couple of weeks. Wayne, being an introvert, also enjoys his own company."

thats like saying why would he bother continue to coach then

If Bennett goes , he goes i agree he got what people wanted a grand final win

Im only stating if people are saying Bennett want challenges , theres still a challenge for him to remain at the dragons.

Gaba, there is NO challenge for him to remain with us. We have WON a title AND 2 minor premierships in only 2 seasons under Bennett. What other "challenge" is there, apart from a WCC that only supporters of both clubs really give 2 sh*ts about.... Tell me.

Doubt Bennett is going back, they have a changing of the guard at Broncos, new CEO, chairmen and coach. They are looking to the future, not the past.

Let's not forget that Paul White and Bennett are very good long time friends, and that the main obstacles are gone (Cullen and Sommerville).

Having said that, I'd much prefer to see Bennett return into a mentoring/overseeing role than as the head coach.
Whether or not he sees that as a challenge, is of course the question...

I think the Broncos are looking long-term, with Darren Lockyer.

They want Bennett back to have Locky as his assistant for a couple of years and the Bennett stays for a year as Lockys assistant then Bennett leaves.

If he really wants a challenge come to tve sharks Wayne you could keep your base where it is
even the great man himself Jack gibson came to shark park
win it with us and prove you are the best no other man could boast of it

what was your greatest acheivement Wayne
without a doubt it was winning the shatkies maiden premiership
but titles 2 and 3 where pretty good as well
