I've always supported Sunshine Coast getting its own team. Sure Dolphins can market themselves there and try and get fans but the Sunny Coast and Redcliffe are very culturally different. Need Kawana stadium upgraded to 20k at least.

Never happening. Money is in Brisbane with tv audience and derbies.

If you wanted to appeal to all of South east Qld you wouldn't keep jets name which is synonymous with Ipswich. Dolphins point you made is hard to believe particularly when their back up grounds are in Redcliffe and on the sunshine coast; clearly targeting the north.
Yeah you would, they'd be huge. Famous club

If dolphins are covering western corridor do we need another nrl club there? I could understand it if there was a stadium in Ipswich to play out of but there isnt and no sign there will be so does se qlnd need another ‘the’ when it already has two clubs appealing to all of Brisbane and surrounding areas?
Absolutely and they'll be bigger than Perth and do more for the NRL from day 1

NRL will benefit from the Perth Bears, argument on here has just been that Broncos and Dolphins are already covering the area, so the question then becomes why would you?
All your doing is creating diminishing returns like happened in Sydney when they added more and more clubs which reduced the catchment areas of the existing ones.

First of all, I'm not making that argument. Second of all, agree on the diminishing returns. But even a third Brisbane team will be in the top 5 attended teams in the league, top 5 for sponsorship, top 5 for TV ratings even if they never overtake the Broncos or Phins. So why? Ahhh to make the league stronger.
