Bronco slump has begun

I really hope he doesn't try to take over things like he did in last years finals. He is capable of brilliance but makes alot of errors.
At times this year, he has tried way too hard by forcing plays that are not on.

Yup especially when the game is on the line and he feels responsible to step up. He needs to sit back and let Hunt control things.

To be fair they were probably a bit disoriented by playing a rare Friday night game

You'd need to be a f**kwit to imagine the Broncos are ratshit prematurely, just as SKD is guilty before being proved otherwise

I wouldn't exactly call it a slump. They had a relatively easy stretch of games until last week. This is the business end of the season now though and the likes of Roosters, Manly, etc who had poor starts to the year are now hitting their strides. Broncos will obviously still make the finals but they're going to need to find an extra gear if they're going to compete deep into the finals.

It's ok, they will beat us in round 26 to gain a bit of momentum and in the process make us finish 7th or 8th so we don't get a home final.

They've had 60+ points put on them in 2 weeks by 2 teams sitting 8th or worse. Not good.

A rational post, well done . . . if that trend keeps up until they drop out of the four this thread may have substance

A couple of losses at this stage of the season might do them wonders. Better than in the finals. They have a reasonably challenging run home, but they're in a good position.

They are on 34 points, pretty much guarantees a top 4 spot.

Plenty of time to get their shit together. However, the old 'peak too early' phase may have kicked in for the Donkeys.

You can twist those facts, but manly and dogs both are proven at timing their run towards a seasons end. They might have both been outside the 8 but they both be in the mix in sept. It is not such poor form to lose to them now. Broncs were much better last night. The 2 pts were more vital to the other side. It was the improved performance that Wayne would have been happy with. They and Souths have the toughest run in. It will either kill them off or harden them. I think the latter.

just gotta stop the errors and pushing passes, they got into bad habits over the last month, the ill-discipline was there against titans & tigers but they got away with it because those sides are poor, can't do it against the good teams. They have to get back to the discipline that got them to the top of the ladder.

By two teams running into excellent form.

Ladder position isn't an indicator of form.

No, your team has got to the top by playing shit all season Canary.

1 team, Manly, has a below par pack of forwards and the team have been poor all season until they thrashed Brisbane.

The other, Canterbury, has no halves yet beats them at home.

If Saints get them next week it will be panic stations.

No twist to the facts. Manly have been a bottom 8 side all season and Canterbury have beaten Parra, Mlb, Penrith, Saints and Canberra since R9. Good win over Mlb but the rest is horrible form.

The top 4 finish is as safe as houses, but the Broncos will be only one win ahead of the Roosters in 2nd place (or still 1st if the Cows lose), with an inferior for and against, after this round. With a game to come against the Roosters in Sydney.

I think the Broncos will have to travel on the first week of the finals. Probably to Allianz but Townsville isn't out of the question.
