I understand that it wasn't a direct swap.

Teo leaves and Stagg comes to brissy. I'm sure you knew what I meant though you antagonistic bastard ;-);-)

Yes, and it's still a narrow minded take on the situation.

Te'o is a good player and I believe he'll be of great service at Souths but Brisbane have a pack filled with 80 minute backrows and their best juniors coming through all specialise in the backrow.

If there's one position the Broncos didn't need to throw anymore money at, it's the backrow.

Parra have 3 internationals in our backline too you idiot.

3? Hayne, Tonga...& Roberts?

JDub must have forgotten Yow Yeh so that makes 4 and if we're including halves then Prince makes 5.

Get to our level Parra.

Round 21 2012. 42-22.

What does this have to do with anything? The Eels defeated a Broncos side without those 5 players. Want a medal?

And you wish.

Spose you've got to derive whatever pleasures you can when all you've got is a wooden spoon.

If you reckon losing Te.o for Stag makes you better, good luck. You dont have any talent under 30 years of age, apart from one bloke recovering from the worst injury ever.

Decent enough forward pack to lay down some momentum - check.

Solid, if uninspiring backs that could do the job if given the right opportunities - check.

We've seen plenty of teams at least challenge in the finals without an array of dazzling superstars in jerseys 2-5 before. The real key for the Broncos this year is how Norman, Wallace and Prince are utilised to create the opportunities for the backline. And, to a lesser extent, the long-term solution for fullback.

In saying that, I think we're in for a lean year. Top 8 would certainly shock me, as would worse than 12th.

Err, am I the only who thinks that's a fairly talented backline?

They ain't gonna be winning a premiership this year, but I would have a few of am at Dragons.

What happened to the once entertaining Broncos?
I can't remember such a dull back 5 coming into a Broncos season.

1. Norman - PASS
2. Hoffman - MAYBE
3. Reed - MAYBE, and that's a big maybe
4. Hodges - PASS
5. Copely - PASS

Hoffman is a maybe, Reed is a big maybe. Pass on the rest thanks.

Is that a sneak preview for your upcoming almanac?
 Maybe ;-)

THB I rate Reed and Norman as a potential gun pivot. I think the latter needs time to settle in and maybe build a combination with Wallace and his outside backs. The Broncos showed that they should have the strike power to be high up the rankings, but geez your bigger contract earners have been sh*t since Heather left - Parker aside.

I was pleased with the efforts of Hodges & Hannant, I thought they stood up and delivered their best seasons in a long while. Parker actually had a tough go of it in 2012, he couldn't go a match or two without picking up some sort of injury. It's a real credit to him he managed to play the amount of games he did given the severity of his injuries but he applied himself extremely well to his rehabilitation. His passion would almost allow me to forgive him for his crappy goal kicking against the Sea Eagles. Almost. ;-)

Whats Joe Kilroy up these days?

Still Smokin?

Even if he's not, he's better than Dale Copley. I know he's only a kid and could come good, but, ya know, he looks like Steve Micheals MkII
