Even that idiot Kevvie Walters on Fox couldn't cop his beloved Broncos losing and after the game was asking Val Holmes about Staggs getting the better of their dual with Holmes coming back and saying that he might have but who cares, he was happy to take the win which is the important thing.
Didn't hear that but is Kevvie serious? Apart from scoring a try, what the f**k did Staggs do that indicated he got the better of Holmes? Holmes beat him multiple times throughout the game with footwork and sold him a dummy that led to the second Sloan try. Plus Holmes had multiple good carries coming off our own line that broke up the Broncs defensive line and allowed us to get out of a bit of trouble. Granted Val had a couple defensive errors, but I don't think Staggs actually beat him himself. Holmes outplayed Staggs easily, Walters can't have watched the same game. Laughable 'analysis' from Kev.

I think Kevvie also said something along the lines of "the Dragon's probably deserved to win the game". The quicker he gets another coaching job (so long as its not at the Dragon's) and is no longer a commentator the better. His QLD bias (and stupidity) is beyond believable.

To be fair his stupidity is also why he’s a complete dud of a coach. ‘23 Broncos were a great example of a star studded roster that succeeded despite the clown “coaching” them. Unfortunately since then the rock stars in the side have believed their own press.
Kevvie got a coaching gig based on the same merits McGregor got a coaching gig. Ex player in the right place at the right time and people running the club making breathtakingly dumb decisions. Certainly wasn’t because they were competent coaches. There’s a reason there isn’t a line of clubs waiting to snap up either Walters or McGregor - they’re park footy coaches and that’s being generous.

Great win by the Dragons. The best about it was in the end that forward pass try at the beginning did not cost the Saints the win. What a joke of a call that was. It was the Ezra Mam show. If it was anyone else they would have called it I feel but making Mam look good helps forget the bad NRL decision to ban him for a short period.

Saints have won 3 games which they were tipped to get beaten in the Storm, Manly at Brookie and Broncos at Suncorp. They simply have it in them to be good but let themselves down. Their next game against the Knights is a huge test for me they cannot let this one slip. The Knights are awful.

King Gutho, Liddle, Cook, JDB, Sua' and Holmes were outstanding. Defence held strong in the end with the ref giving the Broncos every opportunity to win. Well done Dragons.
