Broncs game

Annesley saying broncs first try was ok.
He said his body was still moving
He said bunker gets criticism for looking at things in slow motion.
We were our own worst enemy but the arm and the ball were advanced.

Another disappointing display. Even when we win with Ben Hunt we have an aweful, boring under 7s style of play relying on give it to the big kid (Suli) or the fast guy (Ramsey) and individual skill. We don't seem to be able to construct tries by getting a roll on then cohesion and skillful ball movement (Panthers, Sharks). We also don't seem to able to attack in waves. Also Ben Hunt seems to be our only kicking option....other teams have options at both halves and hooker. I find it hard to watch our team play each week.
The one out running drove me bonkers- as it did when Mary coached- both are disciples of the so-called "power game"- I'd prefer a little finesse.

It’s gonna be a bit embarrassing when you re-read this after you sober up.
Wow I'm surprised the Mr Racially Sensitive, politically correct white knight of the forum who implied the coach was a racist a few weeks back, finds it okay to joke about a very serious issue in alcoholism to poke fun.

Clearly the political correctness standards you expect of others doesn't apply to you.

I would say embarrassing is running the team you 'support' down before a ball was kicked on ANZAC day, mind you on no less than the GameDay forum for supporters of both sides to view, only to then come running back in joy when they turned in what was arguably their most gutsy win of the year.

Sorry to you and others, but the dragons once had the most loyal and devoted supporters in the league, however it's clear that too many now put their own self righteousness ahead of the team they claim to support.

Simple fact we lack real quality 1,6,9 players ...i mean quality like Munster, Tedesco, Cook, Walker, Gutherson...
I dont think Ramsay, Amone, will ever be premiership winning players...they may end up being good solid 1st graders but then again so are Luke Brooks, Matt Moylan etc... To win comps you need gun players in important positions...we need to buy gun players in those positions ...its that simple...i cant see any gun players in the lower grades...if our big hope was Sulli then the writing is on the wall...you can just tell he's never going to be superstar...he will never play origin at least not whilst Cleary is around ...seriously i cant believe our recruitment cant see all these rosetr deficiencies...

i can understand your frustration mickey, but its a bit harsh calling those players out like that, give them a bit of time mate all playing together and if it doesnt improve over a season then yes lets open the cheque book

See ya champ, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
c'mon guys just let it go, it would be a shame to lose any of you off here, i for one have read most of your posts, crush's , sbd82 etc and have always enjoyed reading them, its not a matter of how i think the person should feel its how they want to feel, i just accept that and move on, its a public forum everyone has an opinion, everyone has a view, have a laugh, enjoy the banter and remain a dragons fan.

Yes its great that we can all be Dragons fans together and suffer as a group. I love hearing all the different opinions on here, and try to take it all as light hearted banter. Were a long suffering group but at least we have each other. It could be a damn side worse-you could be a scum supporter and try and pretend winning once in a lifetime is a great achievement. Reading what everyone on here says certainly cheers me up and reminds me that im a supporter of the greatest Rugby League team to have ever existed. If someone was to win 3 comps in a row they'd declare a holiday. We have 11-never before, never again. Were the Dragons

The Forum and its posters play an important role in my life. My disappointment after a loss like yesterday eases with every comment I read as I realise many others are sharing my pain. But I would appeal for three things:
1. Don't make personally offensive comments to fellow posters. That's no fun for anyone. Surely Russia is showing enough aggression for us all currently. After all we do all support the same club.
2. By all means criticise weaknesses in the team, mistakes players make and perceived shortcomings of the coach but again don't get personal such as "they didn't turn up".
3. Acknowledge when there's improvement. For example the strides made by Ramsey, M.Feagai, Suli, Amone and Lawrie over the last 5-6 weeks.

I loved Kogarah Oval when i was a kid - but now everything about Kogarah (except the surface which is one of the best in Australia) is sub-standard. The ends are abysmal - Siberia on the East and the Isthmus on the west. Every night I pray a stray Putin Satan II missile blows it up. In hindsight, the Board should have positioned Kogarah to have been redeveloped prior to the demolition of Aussie stadium.
Our only hope is for a change of State government - but all available funds may have been spent by then.
Glad i dont go to your church or read your bible if thats what you pray for

We all have feelings and emotions and disappointments fellow Dragons supporters. When the chips are down we drop our heads in despair, that is fine. When everything is going our way we rejoice. Both at different spectrums but all part of following our club and what we say in this forum is part of letting our emotions do the talking.

There are a very big number on here that have terrific views and insights and comments. I respect all that I read as it provides a good cross section of knowledge and wisdom to go with the crap that I write.🤣🤣

Ramsey has done wonderfully well in his handful of games at 1 , and feel he could be an elite player in 2-3 years ..
Even Lawrie is honing his craft and is now consistently one of our better forwards
Amone is getting better by the week as his confidence grows
Sully. despite the boom , needs the miles in the legs before we will see him at his very best
Def need a quality prop , a stinging back rower and a quality 9 with x quick service to the halves
3 come to mind
Haas , Pengai Jnr and Verrells
Need to clean out at least 6-8 of our gunna and used by date forwards
The Coach ..Still dont think he can get us all the way back to the Holy Grail ..would grab Woolfe or Ciraldo before others do 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔

No one knows in regards to Ramsey but his comeback this season has so far been one of the highlights of the year. If he keeps injecting himself in games and positioning himself correctly in defence he will go a lot further than Dufty, a player we could never make up our minds about.

Amone's progress is satisfying but still has a long way to go. Bar signing Hynes at the end of last year to fit in to our halves, he is the next best thing and I think all in all is having a good year. Must remain on a upwards trajectory from here. The team is desperate for his success.

We should rave about Lawrie when he puts in a decent patch of form. So sick of him going missing. We are a different team when he is firing but it's never long lasting. Played very well against Broncos must be said.

Agree with your other assessments in regards to Sully, coach and recruitment. The team is lacking belief in itself and 80 minute committment towards each other. Averaging half a try in second halves last 4 games. That says a lot about mentality and ability. We are way down in quality in key positions.

Good advice. I often follow the posts during a game when there is no live broadcast. It's amazing how bad things sound until I watch the replay and find the team played ok.That's also why I like to have a good night's sleep before posting. I find things usually don't look so bad in the cold light of day.

This is what so many people don't get when the usual suspects (myself included) give scathing criticism.
And you are entitled to that mate, if its warranted or not warranted , its your post and how you perceive things. I will enjoy reading it just like all the other posts, I dont have to like it or agree with it, and thats what a discussion forum is all about. We all want one thing and hopefully one day we will all achieve that.
