God this is a complete load of shit nothing issue. The kid had prior tickets to an event and went to said event. Most on this board didn't even want Benji to see 200 games so what does it matter that Brooks didn't go to a dead rubber game. It says nothing negative about Brooks as a player or a person.

Can we collectively take our heads out of our arse and move on?

Also pretty f**king disgusting "journalism" from the worst rag Australia has ever seen.

I agree magpie guy, I can't believe this has gone to 3 pages. But before we go, I want to say.

Maybe the Tigers should have in their contracts that teams must support other teams whenever possible.

I stated on another thread a couple of years back how I was surprised all of the Bulldogs 1st grade squad at Leichhardt Oval to watch the NSW Cup team play Balmain Ryde in a semi final, game. Made the effort to do a lap and have a good look in the stands to see what West Tigers 1st grade player was there to watch the NSW Cup team, I only saw Andrew Fifita and he was there to support his brother no doubt. Did see Sheens though.

My point is, I think it is a better look if the 1st grade team supports both the NSW Cup and U20's team during the finals series (2013), if the schedules allow it.

In the season proper, it is not something the 1st grade team can normally do, support the NSW Cup team but when the schedule allows, they should support each other, same with the U20 guys supporting the 1st grade team.

But hey, nothing wrong with giving players permission not to.

Cheers macnaz! Old Balmain fan put the question to me at the pub last night and it stuck me that I'd never considered the possibility of a connection before.

If he's a passionate fan of Hawthorn chances are he's played the code before as a kid which explains why he is an insanely accurate kicker of the long ball. He's going to carve up the NRL.
