Sullivan will become a great half, I can't believe we would let him go. Him and Amone together a couple of weeks ago showed some flashes of brilliance together. Just more of this shitty club doing stupid things, releasing promising juniors and signing absolute duds, including the coaching staff. We might avoid the Spoon this year but we'll give it a real shake next year.

I don‘t see much point in telling Sullivan to test the market. I suspect it’s a ‘anything to keep Hunt happy‘ decision. I reckon Hunt really believes Sullivan needs to eat multiple serves of humble pie. Personally, I think Hunt, all things considered, is a selfish trouble maker. I‘ve always thought he costs us more than he benefits us.

I wonder if Bud is like Lomax who went out there and found out that he was on top $ at the Dragons and wouldn’t get anything like that elsewhere. I certainty think $500,000 a year for a young injury prone half is over the top.
Lomax wasn't told he could look elsewhere and he never did also he is not on 800k and Bud is not on 500k

There’s not a player at our club who we should be overly concerned about losing. Many of them are overpaid, or average, or in many cases, both of these things. The roster needs a clean up like never before.

I realise you can’t just turn over 30 players at once but there needs to be a systematic overhaul where we only promote players who A) want to be in the jersey and B) are forced to earn their spot.

I guarantee you if suddenly all our blokes were put on match payments based on performance our win/loss record would turn around. Usually, the thrill of competition is enough to keep professional players aiming up with their minds solely on the task. Not our boys. They are disunited and non-committed, not to mention, many of them are severely lacking in skill and don’t get me started on fitness levels…

Too long we’ve inflated the egos of some young potential players and paid them for what they could be and not what they’ve proven. The complete abysmal lack of coaching has not helped. In the name of ‘loyalty’ we’ve let the more experienced players cruise with automatic selection. What a recipe for disaster.

Ben Hunt might have gotten under our skin recently but you can clearly see why he wants out, and if his reasoning to leave is because there no fight in terms of recruitment then I am right there with him.

And on that note - Hame Sele. Okay not bad but you’d want to think he is on a modest contract.

Flanno Jnr would surely be a replacement for Mbye as a 14. In the hooker rotation except for an in game injury to a back
If you have some mobile backrowers on the bench you don't need to carry a back on the bench. Beau Scott & Matt Prior used to do that job very well for us. And Eisenhuth plugged a hole in Melbourne's defence last night when Smith was forced off. And made some yards, though he's even slower than Moga.
