I do think we have the player to be successful this year, but I think there needs to be major changes to our positioning.
Fullback: Luke Burt is too small and is incapable of stopping players on the line. Vaeliki is too slow and is prone to brain explosions. Pleae come back Ash Graham. In the meantime, give Prince a chance who impressed in his limited first grade appearnaces. I think even Wade McKinnon may be better option than Burt.
Wings: Eric Grothe obviously has one spot. I'd put Vaeliki on the wing. He finishes well and he's tall so would be tough be outbomb. Peterson is backup, Katerverata backup to him.
Center: I'd go with Luke O'Dwyer and Luke Burt. Burt's best football has been at centre. He is a fast, skillful player who creates chances, but can't do this at wing or fullback. Luke O'Dwyer has to be given a chance as he just keeps stepping up to player, somehwere and I don't think he's big enough to play in the forwards.
Five Eighth: I think Killer has to play five-eighth. He would be better defensively closer in, and would be a constant worry running off Dykes. Has all the skills. I think he's the option, until Witt with his superior kicking game makes the grade.
Lock: Hindmarsh: Absolutely should be playing Lock. Unlike some of his "big" teammates, he's fast enough and skillful enough to play this position.
Second Row: Cayless & Stapleton: I'd go Cayless and Mucket when he's back from injury but in the meantime, Stapleton has been good and to me plays more like a second rower.
Prop: Tsoulos & Armit: Give the young juniors a go. They dont' drop the ball, they're big and make tough yards. With players like Cayless in the second row, this is the perfect time to blood them.
Hooker: Hopkins: If Dykes is going to play a lot of dummy half, Morris is wasted at hooker. I'd prefer Hopkins at hooker to bolster defence. He's a very big heared player who's only let down by his hands. At hooker, this is not such a problem.
Bench. Wagon. Versatile and aggresive in defence I think his future is off the bench. Vella. On his last chances but like Wagon, if he's going to play first grade its got to be off the bench. Cannings He can be a star if he improves his handling, especially off the bench. Morris: Also versatile and could be called on for some spark, when needed. Needs to finally start showing his promise.
Others
Widders: If Widders is in form I would start him in second row ahead of Stapleton, one of the few Parra forwards who can break the line out wide. Otherwise, he would battle with Wagon for bench spot.
Pearson: After tonight's performance, is looking more like someone to call on when injuries strike.
Thorman: I think he will be our starting half once he becomes accustomed to pace of NRL, he is CLASS, with Dykes shifting to hooker or perhaps five-eighth again.
Witt: His future at Parramatta is at five-eighth. Needs to prove himself in Premiers and fight his way back into firstgrade.
Fui Fui Moi Moi: If Vella doesn't find form may be the impact player we need of the bench. Kafusi might also be an option for this spot?
