Yet no mention about this issue last year.
If he felt so strongly about this he wouldn't have played Sunday games for Eels and Sea Eagles. Why is it suddenly so much more important this year?

Maybe thats why he did bugger all in those games, it was against his religion.

If he is planning on playing as a part time player is he getting paid like a part time player?

considering he raised this as a point before he signed the contract, the bulldogs would have taken this into consideration in his remuneration..

His religion making him miss 3 days of footy isn't as bad as the time it made him miss 2 years.

exactly..

the guy has his values, and he's put his religion ahead of football (and money) previously...

missing a few sunday games isn't an issue..

Jehovah witnesses are up there as well. Can someone tell me what Jehovah actually witnessed.

considering jehovah is another name for god, and god is considered to be all seeing, i'd say he's witnessed a lot..

I worship Brian out of the Life of Brian.

Brian tells me I must watch the movie every Friday night.

So that means I do not watch FNF ever.

Cheers,

It's pretty selfish to be honest - To give up on playing on Sundays for something that is made up. Do other people get the same privilege for made up things?

Unbelievably, a bloke has a belief (I don't care what that is) to stand by his faith and is getting verbally belted by posters.

You pricks are the stone throwers in history.

Good luck to him for having the nutz to stand by what he believes in.

One problem... he has played plenty of sunday games before and thereis no way he wouldn't play the GF

But even more bizarre than that, is this idea that "having faith" is somehow sacred. It's a made up belief. Anyone can say they believe in anything, so why don't people get the day off for believing in the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Mormon (maybe, a moron:cool:) or JW, but just maybe his faith has strengthen over the last year or so (mate, as far as I'm concern, more power to him for standing with his faith).

In today's, Gen Y and Gen Next material world, it is good to see a young bloke with principles.

I love it in this day and age people don't believe... until something bad in their life happens they immediately blame god for not stopping it.... go figure?

Who's doing that? I had a tumour a number of years ago that had to be removed and nearly died from pneumonia in 2010 and I don't blame god?
