They came second a few years back iirc and won the cup.
I must admit, I do like the Bundesliga, a fun league to support. The football isnt up to Barca standard of course, but its still good, the league is close, every team has personality, even watching last season, a team such as St Pauli was fun to watch even tho they sucked.
and they have a good highlights show on one. watch it.
Will always prefer Serie A tho.
Even tho a Euro Superleague would be the best.
I've been enjoying it a lot more now that it's a Suarez-less league. But then again, so is the Premier League for a while too...
Unfortunately for your sake, he's back as of Monday. Liverpool somehow did surprisingly well without him, KO'ing the Manchester clubs in both cups.
The EPL is looking pretty damn close at the moment.
Man City........54
Man Utd........54
Spurs.............49
It falls away a bit there after that of course, but it's still been tremendous to watch this season IMO.
i won't because i don't care that muchHow are you going to justify this comment when Milan knock Arsenal out of the CL in a few weeks?
It can't be too far away. Within the decade surely. It'll more than likely look similar to the NFL. An extended Champions League group stage, perhaps divided by conferences and even divisions, leading into a play off knockout. You could home and away against division rivals, then pick off games within conference. Europe is already fairly primed for divisions and conferences, the geography and concentration of nations make it fairly doable. Wouldn't kill off domestic leagues, you would imagine they would run alongside each other. It would also limit the need to rebrand what is a global phenomenon in the Champions League.
A straight up division pro/rel system wouldn't work. It would be nothing short of disastrous.
you can add Bayern to that list now too...Both Schalke and 'gladbach dropped precious points tonight...
It strikes me that perhaps Bayern are focusing far more on Europe this year than usual and have let their concentration on the BL title slip somewhat. It's not an excuse but it is understandable though. It's not every year your club's a massive favourite to win the European Cup on your own home ground.
Something else that's quite a close race, top goalscorer:
Gomez........17
Huntelaar.....16
Pizarro........15
Podolski.......15
Lewandowski 14
Reus............12
Abdellaoue....11
Raul.............10
Come on Raul!! Seriously though, I can't find a site that has odds for this. Anyone?
