A lot of you should be tackling the argument and not the person.

But a number of you prefer attend your on line jerk circle of whinging at the person making the point ...instead of addressing the real issues.

That mod obviously needs retraining and should re-read the forum rules he is supposed to uphold. He won’t admit fault, he seems to want to be popular.

Actually there is probably little point in offering an alternate view here because for the most part, one is just set upon and abused anyway. That’s mandated, licensed and encouraged. Hate unlimited.

You complain about not being able to present an alternate point of view yet dismiss views that are not the same as your own. Hypocrite.

BTW the issue is eye gouging should be penalised heavily and this grub is a serial offender.

Also, notice that as George Burgess has entered a guilty plea to the eye gouging charge the SP has gone mysteriously silent? :p

From the NRL site:
6.37pm: Questioning is over. McGrath now addressing the judiciary panel. He claims that Burgess's conduct was deliberate and intentional.

"Eye gouging is a pretty nasty term, but that is what we're dealing with here. It's not a tackle gone wrong ... this is something completely foreign to the game of rugby league.

"It's particularly dangerous because of the extreme danger of serious injury. It's something that game regards with complete disgust and makes no apology for coming down hard on it.

"It is telling that there are only two other incidents before you for comparison. It's more telling that one of those is from the same player.

"Player Burgess hasn't learnt [from the previous incident]. There is a pattern of deliberate behavior, nothing has been learnt.

6.55pm: NRL counsel Peter McGrath points out that Burgess has 50 per cent loading given similar misconduct last year. He claims the latest offence should sit in the 800-1000 points range. With loading that's 12-15 weeks out. However, given Burgess has pled guilty, he is entitled to 25 per cent discount.

He couldn't give a f**k.

Cashing his cheques.

With what we are paying him, we can go out to market and sign 4-5 decent props.
It just defies belief though. You go to a hearing and try to convince the judiciary that you won't be careless (at best) anymore with that mess around your neck. To expect them to believe it is hilariously stupid, but then again, that's George from front to back.

If his brother wasn't Sam then he'd still be in England.

He's on massive money.

He's supposed to be a forward leader.

Sam and Tom are out and he plays like shite, still keeps his fumbles up and then has utterly moronic ill discipline.

We should have off loaded him to Para when we had the chance.

Now he'll soak up 15 more weeks of cap on the sideline being utterly useless. Although, that said, it might be a blessing in disguise.

And yeah...shave and tie your tie.

I want some Arizona style hush money.
