Burgess eye gouge

The Burgess brothers have a shocking record of number of appearances before the judiciary. They need to pack their bags and go back to Dewsbury.

9 weeks?! That’s weak.
Didn’t he have a 50% loading as he was charged in a test match for the same thing?
25% discount is stupid

9 match ban pretty low suspension for a grub act, I think for memory Steve linane got 20 weeks for his grubby act

Well he made no admission as to intent but pleaded to a charge.

I haven’t seen the facts he agreed to. But I say they are unlikely to present as a classical eye gouge case.

Having said that, the penalty seems way too severe, they got it wrong and he should appeal.

Hopefully the appeal will succeed and the tigers will get him on board for the finals this year.

He’s not a dog, he’s just stupid.

None of that is an excuse or a justifiable reason.
He attempted to claim a lack of intent. He never questioned that charge of guilty.
He stuck his fingers in Farah's eye. He's a repeat offender with a very recent charge for an identical offence, hence the long suspension which could have been even longer.

Just admit you got it wrong.
