Why would i put that there? A bunch of loses?

Hell if you weren't so stupid you would realise the last taste of success either team had was the dogs in 2004 over your bunch of losers. Just another glorious stat in your signature.:lol::lol:
Bulldogs fans got to see there team play in one GF in how long??? poor Doggies fans!

I for one welcome our new overlord.

Money Bill could have waited another year in rugger before the new TV contract. Could have jacked the $4 mil up.

1 GF.. Do you book your holidays for finals time every year? LOL@BRO!

Its not one gf though it is the last won either of our clubs won. If i was a roosters fan i certainly would take holidays, do you remember what its like to win the big thing? I do, roosters players laying all over the place crying along with their fans. Wait were you one?:lol::lol:

The opening line tells you the story, it tells you my issue. You cant tell me Politis's influence within the game, his influence with Channel Nine and Gyngell who he is very close to, hasnt played a part in getting this deal done. You're outside your mind if you dont think Politis's influence hasnt played a role in channel 9 coming to the table this deal, in fact the article itself pretty much confirms it

What pisses me off is whilst these sorts of deals are being arranged for the big market clubs to get a big name player like SBW and the Roosters. The Raiders are left to fend for themselves and might actually have to try and compete with a similar style deal from a glitzy big market team to keep a home grown junior like Dugan.

How is a club like mine supposed to be expected to keep talented players when a big market club can come in offer him 800k a year, tee up deals elsewhere to get him over a mil, where as we can only offer him cap money due to our location and market? The only way we can be allowed to compete is through cap dispensations for locally developed kids, but that wont ever happen because people like Politis knock it on its head every time the idea is raised because it likely damages his club.

I have to sympathise with your feelings as this is pretty much the sort of thing that pissed me off with the whole "Melbourne Storm rorting the salary cap" arguement of "they have to play by the rules as it makes for an even competition" bullshit we kept hearing from certain quarters.

As much as the salary cap lovers want this to be an even competition, it isnt and it never will be.

Some teams are better connected politically, some have home town advantage, some have huge juniors, some have Hollywood glamour, some have massive supporter bases and the corporate sponsorship that brings, some have the backing of seriously wealthy and influential owners etc etc etc. Yet we're led to believe that the amount a team pays for players services is the single deciding factor in fairness. Bollocks. If that was the case, the Bulldogs win in 2004 wasnt legal because they kept all the same players as they'd had when they breached the cap. For the record, before Dogs fans get the wrong idea, it WAS a legal win and I was more than happy for the same players to take a pay cut and stay with the club. I'd have been happy if the Storm had been allowed to do the same btw.

There will always be winners and losers in these games and sometimes people can come along that can tip the balance in favour of your team. Just look at South Sydney and Newcastle. 10 years ago, Souths were never a chance of attracting anything but has beens or never will be's to their team. Three years ago Newcastle couldnt attract a fly to land on their particular brand of shit - and yet along come Russell Crowe and Nathan Tinkler and suddenly they're clubs that CAN attract good players and give their fans real hope for the upcoming season.

Canberra does have an edge in it's fantastic junior development that other clubs look to with envy and they do a magnificent job bringing through some of the most exciting players in the game. Hell you only had to see their backline moves in 2010 to start dribbling. The trick is to keep them there and a year of real success or even an owner with deep pockets coming along and they'll do just that.

I for one will be cheering them all the way if they do.

What's this post that actually offers a valid opinion (not that I agree with it all) on topic, doing amongst BHP and DoggiesBro's dick pulling competition?
Any thread involving Easts or Dogs automatically turns to shit because of these two.

I do realise your a roosters fan and most likely due to east r 1 being embarrased by my facts, i am confused why you put me on that when his response is ask me when you want a comeback because he can't argue with the facts i've provided. funny stuff.

Just watched the $BW interview on Wide World of Sports, geez he is a smug barsteward! Wish I was a heavy weight boxer, I'd love to punch him in the face. He struts around like he has done nothing wrong, seemingly oblivious to the fact virtually every RL fan in Australia thinks he is an arrogant c**k!
