True... but still more intelligent than Dugan.

Dugan has a rats tail... enough said.

He is the roosters chairman. It’s his job to use whatever resources he can to sign players.

So you are upset that a team will potentially poach Dugan.

What has this to do with the roosters and SBW?

Well your board has 2 options.

Lobby the NRL for cap compensation or be proactive and deal with the fact we are in a commercial market and start trying to gain the influence needed to sign players.

What you've failed to realise is my problem is not actually with politis or SBW, Politis is doing what he's paid to do, the best for the sydney roosters, my issue is that this has highlighted the giant gap between the big clubs in big markets and the smaller clubs in small markets which the NRL need but dont give a shit about. The Dugan - SBW just happens to be a current day example of divide

My club has continued to lobby for cap compensation, have for eions, we continue to be knocked back. Gallop has said such compensation would be unfair to clubs who do not have a large catchment area like ours. I agree, but i would argue that for clubs like the roosters who had their catchments rapped, the fact they are in big markets capable of pulling these type of deals off and getting massive FTA coverage etc, more than balances out the advantage a club like mine would get for discounts for signing local talent. But the glamour clubs wont allow it, their influence runs deeper than ours, so if its not good for them, it doesnt happen.

But for what its worth, dugan's ratty is putrid and needs to go, its embarrassing but there is no way known to man he's dumber than SBW

As for players the roosters want to keep don't leave. There is noone in your club from your products that any club wants. thats why they don't leave. The only ones any club would have an interest in the roosters pay massive overs to keep e.g skd, pearce. 350k, 400k each is a joke.

derp derp derp. We'll smack you lot this year, your side is still woeful Hasler or not.

Derp derp derp...

Weren't the dogs 9th? Missing the 8 by for and against?

Weren't the roosters fighting off the spoon?

Dogs added: Hasler the most succesful coach in the past 5 years & some help in coaching staff, an International prop and one that is rated one of the best going around. Also get Ennis back after being out most the year. Lose Idris of note.

Roosters added nothing. Lose Myles, their best forward in the past few seasons and extremely reliable, Carney the only reason they have gone any good in the past 3-4 years.:lol::lol:

Enjoy another season fighting that spoon off. If you land SBW i'm sure with Maloney you lot will be alright in 2013, just a question of who else will be there with Pearce, SKD, Maloney, SBW eating up so much of that cap. Skip next year.

LOL yes the massive overs you threw at anasta and myles had nothing to do with it.

What kids?

Hrmm currently running round playing football somewhere other then our club. Anasta, Myles, Mason, SBW, Asotasi, Luke, Thurston, Idris, Mataiu, Sherwin.. Not many at all.

Not to forget the likes of Hazem and Price recently retired. Can you please remind me what roosters have been poached that were of ANY quality?
G Rose, B Hannat, A Harrison, A Toupou, J Soward, M Croker, D Shillington, R Faaoso, M Paea, M Minichiello, S Shackleton, S Waqa, S Earl, M Lett, J Williams, A team that would easily smash the Dogs. hahahaha Dogs spoon in 2012!

Roosters, 2 top 4 finishes in 4 years. Dogs....I can't remember the last time they made the finals? We only had Carney for 2 years you gronk, and he was only useful for one of them  No wonder Manly fans, everyone else on LU, and BunniesMan shit all over you.

A lot of what you say makes sense mate and as a massive Rooster, I'm not here to argue with you.

But...you need to consider all angles...your club currently receives the same annual grant from the NRL as the other 15 clubs. The funds for this are generated primarily from the money the game received from it's TV partners.

As a "big market" club, I'm pretty sure that, as a percentage, we'd be responsible for generating a far larger portion of that TV income than the Raiders, yet we receive the same grant....is that fair? Same goes for other big clubs like the Dogs, Parran Tiges, Drags and Broncos etc.

So when you add this to your argument, it gets pretty complex doesn't it? So don't ask me what the answer is but we need to understand we're not in a perfect world here and it's big reason why Gallop has been so staunch on the salary cap and strict on 3rd party stuff.

As for Politis and his role in the game, he could well be why Super League didn't fully succeed . It's conservately estimated that his decision to stay loyal to the ARL cost our club $30m...people should remember that and what hisi decision has meant for the wider game.

Finally, re. Sonny, I'll be stoked if we get him. Whatever we pay will be repaid many times over.

2009 we made the semis, must have a shocking memory.

Wonder if you remember which team won the last title? I'll give you a hint, they beat the roosters in 2004.:lol::lol:

LOL wow what a team, no wonder your lot are fighting off the spoon if thats the best you got to list.

Thats a huge amount of talent next to the likes of Thurston, SBW, Idris, Mason, Mataiu, Luke, Anasta, Myles, Asotasi.

Hell if you want to list blokes no longer in the nrl we will throw in Sherwin, Price etc.

Why would i put that there? A bunch of loses?

Hell if you weren't so stupid you would realise the last taste of success either team had was the dogs in 2004 over your bunch of losers. Just another glorious stat in your signature.:lol::lol:
