They're both more successful than you so maybe you should shut the f**k up.

Politis took the Roosters our of a really dark period. Under his management we won our first Premiership in 25 years, played in our first grand final in 20. Since then we've competed in 5 Grand finals. Went 10 seasons without missing a finals series. Not to mention if it wasn't for Politis we'd still be stuck with Super League. Have some respect.

With respect, that is almost a Dunniesmanesque statement to defend the the phone chucker and his former mate Peter whatsisname.

Was unaware that Politis ended Murdochball.
I vaguely recall that City Ford was on the front of the Chooks in the 70's. Did Politis run the joint back then or was Ron Jones (?) calling all the shots ?

Politis became chairman in 1995.

He's calling them idiots, when they have proven to be extremely intelligent businessmen.

Acting is hardly in the same class as managing successful businesses.

Fair Call...

Politis is a very successful businessman but not so sure about Gyngell given Nein's status nowadays and a few comments attributed to him in the past year or two regarding Nein's handling of our game.

As much as I loathe him, I would suggest that the Phone Chucker must have some business smarts to still be rich despite wasting countless millions on the rabble and his alleged musical talents amongst other things...

does anyone else see the timing of this pretty suspect??

he has a PPV fight in just over a month... getting himself into the headlines cant be bad for his PPV numbers.

i remember Mundine used to start talking about coming back to RL just before some of his fights.. looks like Nasser is pulling the same tricks here...

looking at this photo you wouldn't believe that you have an NRL club chairman, the CEO of one of the biggest networks in Australia, and a professional athlete and his manager working out a 4 million dollar deal.

 there is some kind of $4M deal going down I'm sure...

Wait, I read somewhere that SBW is only allowed to return to the Bulldogs as he is still under contract. What happened to that?

From various reports here and elsewhere I think said contract ends at the end of 2012
