$BW to Roosters in 2013

Interesting that part of this deal includes an on-air role with Channel 9. What happens if (or hopefully, when) they lose the rights?

Ignoring that, why is the host broadcaster helping clubs sign players? Doesn't seem right to me.

WTF? You'd get more coherent comments from a drunken, meth addicted hobo who lost his lips due to a really hot ice-pipe than that dribbling moron.

"Chur bro, dey run de ball up good eh?"

I'd love for 9 to offer Nev Costigan a gig alongside SBW.

They'd take commentary eloquence to soaring new heights.

Assuming it'll take a couple of years after the new TV deal to see a significant cap increase, East may very well have completely f**ked em selves here

The roosters haven't lost a grand final for a few years. Makes sense that they'd splash out some cash for this child. Consistently throwing money at dickheads is a lot easier than producing your own juniors.

Williams is very good player who should do well if sitting on the bench for the all blacks and holidaying in France hasn't softened him up.

Fittler and SBW commentating, now that would just be a laugh and almost as bad as Ray Warren by himself

I use to hate the roosters but have grown over it over the past few years, im glad to see sbw back in the game.

in saying that roosters must be empty of cash now with maloney and sbw coming on for huge pay. mino and anasta will retire and whatever else they got freed up from myles, carney and no doubt a few youngsters will be let go.

Good he's back in the game that doesn't penalise players for tackling too hard, and good it's not in my team.

Will the Chooks seek dispensation for an extra player to cover the matches when Dummy Spit does not feel like playing ?

What's Gyngell doing there?
I thought 3 party deals had to be done with no involvment from the club.

Roosters vand $BW are welcome to each other imo. What are the chances of $$ seeing out a 5 year contract? .....quite optomistic of the roosters to offer him 5 years considering some of the pfarked up advice he will receive from mundane/koder during that time........also is Politi$ bono's ugly brother??

Cam Smith has a deal with Fox. Lockyer also, I once read that Fox were paying Lockyer more than what the Broncos were. But how elese could they get all those Origin players under the cap?

Innit. That's why I want the Storm to do well. As if some other clubs weren't at it.

Do you mean Fox or News Ltd ? I think it was one of those "player columns" for papers ( in this case, News Ltd ) that are credited to the player, but he just talks to the journalist who writes the article. I don't think I've ever seen Lockyer on any Fox Sports shows or heard him commentate for them. He had a deal with Ch9 when he was playing & will have a more involved role with them now that he's retired. I think most people know this & also that he's having the long overdue throat surgery.

What a massive signing for the chooks, will take up a big chunk of their cap and play about five games a year and could do a runner at the drop of a hat. Would not go near him with a barge pole
