Good signing that occured at the end of the season. Was in talks with Cabra as well but believe they didn't move quick enough to secure his signature.
Can any one confirm that Ben Elis may be heading back to Norths?

Haven't heard that but have heard that Peter Lett is back talking to Mounties about re-joining them again this season.
If Cabra are keen on him they need to sign him now.

Cabra Blues Defeated a Spirited Penrith Brothers Outfit 26 - 6.. In a 3 QUATER Match up.. All Tries were Put on Display in the Last Quater.. Tryscorers were : A. Dallanano 2, J.Trotter 2, R Brown, A. Burns.. Cabra Conceeded 1 Try to a Unfortunate Bounce.. other than the Defense held & was Sound.. Looks Like the Three off season buys were good Recruiting in the off season..as Jaime Small , A.Dallanano & C. Ellis were standouts.. so was the Samoan Juggenaut Richie Parker ..Other than that, Things are Looking Good for the BRC 2009 Season..so Calling on any Cabra supporters outhere 2get Over too as much Cabra Games as u can..The Boys in Blue need your Suport !

Backline Well we all know Cabra Blues possess an 'Explosive Running Game..No injuries in the Backline so far ..everyone looks fit in that Department.. We Have a Lethal Arsenal of Backline Players Both On the Field & on the Bench plenty of Dept there.. Apart from Veterans Burnsy & Trotters.. Lookout for The Underated 'Vaiotu Brothers' & Josh Mcklevenny & A Grade Top try scorer from last year Rookie Cameron & Southern Shark Recruit Fred Khousi.. umm u might see Either James Trotter or Josh Mclevenny in the Fullback spot..

..In my opionion Every Team is a Threat..On Last years Jim Beam Cup Results There were upsets Galore & i don't think this years BRC 2009 season gonna be any Different..Wentworthville has sent a Take Notice Warning by Trouncing Windsor Wolves 44 -6 last years Champions & Most Teams Boosted Their Ranks in the off season..& Some Cubs have the Luxury of Having NSW Cup players Play for them When NSW CUP Games have a Buy That week.. One thing for Sure we[cabra]..Lacked a playmaker Thank God Luke Branighan came back to Cabra, if u look at the stats we won 10 on the Trot with him..& when Luke Did not play in the playoff against shellharbor we Lost.. hence fourth the club Signed Former cronulla Fringe first Grader Andrew Dallalano...i still believe Windsor wolves & Sydney Bulls are The Team to Beat !!.

:sarcasm:TAKEN FROM THE CABRAMATTA LEAGUES WEBSITE::sarcasm:

Cabramatta's 2009 Bundy Red Cup has gotten off to an indifferent start with a mixed bag of results in the three hit-outs the Club has had so far. The Blues fielded two-sides in the International 9's, the first team scraping into the Trophy quarter-finals despite losing all three pool games, and despite leading Western Suburbs 10-4 at half-time of the quarter final, they were eventually run down and beaten by 4 points. Star of the weekend for this side was Sika Teapu and Francis Vaiotu. The Second side had a little more success winning throught to the Plate final after breezing through the semi-finals, but they were outgunned by Mounties 6-18. Youngsters Josh Toole and Dean Buchannen starred for this side throughout the tournament.
The following weekend (Feb 15) the Blues took on the Balmain Tigers NSW Cup side in two games and despite going down 0-22 and 0-30, a number of positives were evident, none more so than the form of new prop Jamie Small who tossed the reputations of the opposition aside and ripped into his former Club.
On February 22, the Blues took on Bundy Red Cup new recruits Penrith Brothers in a quality hit-out that saw the Blues eventually prevail 26-4. Again prop Jamie Small was mentioned as the star, together with halfback Andrew Dallanano, Ritchie Parker and Jessie O'Neal.
Cabramatta's last trial is against Shellharbour on Feb 28th before their round 1 encounter with Chester Hill.

The Cabramatta Two-Blues capped off an impressive trial campaign on Saturday, February 28th with an impressive 26-12 victory over the Shellharbour Dragons NSW Cup team. Led from the front by rampaging front rowers Jamie Small and Richie Parker, the Blues never looked like losing and gave Coach Len Stackers and Assistant Coach Corey Ruttle a few selection headaches ahead of the Clubs Season Opener against Chester Hill at Terry Lamb Reserve on Friday, March 13 at 7:30pm.
Centre James Trotter was also outstanding on the day, while halfback Andrew Dellalano again proved his worth in an inspiring display despite injuring his cheek. Both Dellalano and five-eighth Allan Burns (ankle) are the only casualties but both are likely to play if selected in Round 1. The other standout performer on the day was Utility Josh Toole who made the most of his opportunity when thrown in at halfback, and he could well have played himself into the top 17 when the side is named for Round 1 next week.

i also would have thought ben ellis would have best suited the team at hooker considering he played a number of 1st grade games there last season at the dragons in the nrl

Yes.. I don't know what the story is There, But i'll do some asking around at Chester hill/Cabra game Tonight.. whether it's Injury or Unavailibilty or A Coaches ploy.. one thing sure i know Aron Fluke has just recently returned from a honeymoon.. and just has one Trial match under his Belt..so Match fitness could be a concern for him.. in Terms of Chris yates..not to sure, he must be Carrying a Niggling Injury or something along those Lines..........Ben Ellis at Lock, i for one thought he would be more Devastating at the hooker Role also.. but in saying that Jesse oneal is a Good player & has a High work Rate in the Forwards..oh well we will see if that ploy works wonders at the chester hill game Tonight.

Mail is that Yatesy not selected due to a miss calculation of points and is filthy.
Not good to have served the club as he has, be named captain and then get dumped.
What is goin on there???

Cabra 38..chester hill .. 0... The Game was delayed for about 30 minutes.. as some official in the chester hill camp.. forgot to tell the council about The Lights, but all together Great Game if u were a Blues supporter.. although chester hill were Brilliant in some patches of the Game..but full credit to Cabra's No Nonsense Defense on the night... umm..Tries By Sika Taupe, Andrew Dallanano, keith heckenburgh, Louis Vaiotu, James Trotter & Josh Mclvenny.... The Forwards played well ..Benny Ellis & Jaime Small were stand outs & James Trotter was my Standout in the Backs at fullback... i dd'nt see yatesy there but Aron Fluke was there at the Game..
