Bundaberg Red Cup 2009
Hey Rocks, the try scorer for Cabra was your man Henry Iuta.
I noticed that Chris Yates played in the A Grade trial and made some good yards, something that the forwards in the Bundy game dould not do very successfully.

Someone has to make the decision to allow him to play.

M8 i got to the Game Late..Terry, From where i was watching the Game against mounties which was right next to the coaches & players bench, we were doomed in the first half. There was no Talking amongst the players & Confidence looked Down & After the Game i overheard a conversation amongst a Couple of Mounties players to these blokes saying They Thought they did'nt play as well as they would have Liked to play.. so Based on that we must be lucky to get away with that sort of Scoreline. Personally i would Like to see yatesy back,..Yatesy was a Good motivational Leader.. but don't think that would happen, unless one or two of Cabra Major signings departs the club. Out of the Three major signings the one who consumes the most points has Been Rather ordinary unless he's been playing with a Form Slump or carrying a niggling Injury.. The other Two Major signings have Produced the Goods so far from what i have seen in the past three Games. Without Parker, Burnsy, & Lamb.. out there on the paddock we lacked Direction.. Another Thing i Question is The Fitness Level we are at.. Mounties looked the Far Fitter Team.

It was set to be a great evening, a real local derby with both teams on the same points, coming off unexpected loses. Crowd was good but I have to be honest the game reached no great heights and the atmosphere then suffered. James Small led from the front but couldn't do it on his own and Drew Dalton controlled play very well. Cabra's kicking was very disappointing with little variation and always kicking to mounties fullback. Hopefully in the return clash both sides will have all players on the paddock. Goes to show you though both clubs have good supporter base.

U are Right on the Jackpot There.. BTTF. I second that Opionion, i for one have Been Whinging about Crowd numbers & where are the Cabra Faithful & when They Turn up in Droves we produce a Shocker..i know it's Early in the Season but Things are Looking a Bit Bleak at the Moment with us Facing The Bulls at The Crest.. Jaime Small has Been a Revelation to the Club & always Give 110% since Trial Matches & Benny Ellis has Been Relentless in his Defensive Work rate . The Kicking Game had absolutely no structure at all in that Game against mounties. I Guess people can put it Down towards Injuries to key players & The quality of The Replacements but Like what Terry the Parra God quoted ..it all Seems so " De ja Vue Like" & i'm Afraid he's 100% Right.

Cabramatta played well below the points last nite and really struggled to get anything started . who is in charge at cabra yates last yrs Quad series capt played A grade and was a step above this level . nobody at the ground could understand why he wasn't playing . this is a total lack of respect to a man that has given 100% to the club . On last nite performance cabra officials need to put him back in the team . From what i hear the players are also questioning some of the the coaching staff decisions .

:x:x:x G'day Terry.. yeap , u want see me much of me on these forums nowdays. Mate theres some Politics going on behind the scenes. A Relative of Mine got Dropped to Agrade as a Result of that Mounties Lost.. he may have had a Shocker.. but so did half the Team on that night & what Baffles me is that.. at that stage of the Season he was the Leading Try scorer in the Cabra Team.. in all Fairness if performance is Lacking from the Player, he Should been Relegated to the Bench..&.. i hope a Cabra official is Reading this post.. so he could give a me a Logical Explanation. i am Venturing out my Dismay & Utter Dissatisfaction as to the Handling of this Matter.. The Agrade is not Doing too well because they have pulled three or Four players up to BRC.. I Think after that loss to mounties the coaching staff or whoever calls the shots went into panic mode. I Don't go to the Games anymore & only pop in here to check on BRC Results.. i Honestly Believe what their doing at the moment of shifting players here & there & positional changes may have produced 2 quick wins but to me, in my opionion it's just a Quick Fix Solution & There is Still a Fair Way to Go in the Season..

My god, they always manage to screw it up.
Maybe they should sack the coaching staff and the entire management as they dont seem to be able to get their act together ever.
First the yatesy business now this.
When will they ever learn.
They are absolute clowns and from what i see, they are only in it for themselves, they dont care for the players much.
They keep talking about their juniors but they seem to get em from all the other clubs not produce em from scratch.
Thats what they need to do.
And for god sake get some stability in the coaching and management, someone with some brains.
They should try and poach the people that are running Mounties, they dont seem to have this trouble, two years in and ran third, Cabra been in it for six years and got nothin.

The Cabramatta Two Blues have been decimated by injury and suspension although Coach Len Stacker and Assistant Coach Corey Ruttle have named a solid line-up for this weeks Clash with the Windsor Wolves at Windsor Sporting Complex on Saturday, July 11th at 6pm. Five-eighth Allan Burns, Captain Casey Ellis, prop Richie Parker, wingers Daniel Cray and Louis Vaiotu remain in the casualty ward, while fullback Sammy Aiga has been handed a two match suspension and will not return until Round 18 vs Penrith Brothers. With the injuries comes opportunities and congratulations to both Josh Casey and John Leiataua who will make their debuts

Despite having half of the Club's salary cap sitting in the stands watching their side do battle with 2008 Jim Beam Cup Premiers the Windsor Wolves, the Cabramatta Two Blues snared the prize scalp of their more fancied opponents with a last gasp 32-29 victory at Windsor Sporting Complex.
The Blues, who scored 7 tries to 5 but only managed to kick 2 goals, looked as though they had let another match slip through their grasp as the Wolves snatched the lead with a field goal 5 minutes from time. But powerful backrower Ross Brown snatched the lead and victory back with 15 seconds remaining on the clock when he crashed over for his second try of the night.
While all players performed extremely well under the circumstances, prop Jamie Small, backrower Ross Brown and the consistant Ben Ellis were all mentioned as the standouts. Congratulations were also given to both Josh Casey and John Leiataua who made their Bundy Red Cup debuts.
The Blues have the remainder of the month off before returning to New Era Stadium for our last home game for 2009, a cracker against the Bankstown City Bulls on Saturday, August 1st at 5:30pm.
Tries – Ross Brown (2), Jason Gray (2), Josh McIllvenney, Sika Teaupu and Francis Vaiotu; Goals - Andrew Dallalana 2 from 7.

I've Seen Jackets, Polo Shirts, Beenies & Caps on Display at the Canteen on Home Games. The Lady who Runs the Canteen sold me a Couple of ..'Cabra Jackets'.. BLUES BREAK HOODOO BY ROUNDING UP BULLS IN THE SEMI-FINALS

Cabramatta ended a three year drought of victories in a semi-final when they overcame a tough Bankstown City Bulls outfit 39-26 to surge into the grandfinal Qualifying Semi-Final against neighbours Wentworthville this Saturday, August 22nd from 3pm at Leichhardt Oval.
Despite losing form backrower Sika Teaupu before kick off with a shoulder injury and the speedy Louis Vaiotu who was replaced by the return of Josh McIllvenney from injury, the Blues crossed for 7 tries in the hoodoo breaking victory, with five-eighth Trent Trotter the pick of the stars, just ahead of Jamie Small, Sammy Aiga and Ben Ellis.
A win this weekend will see the Blues qualify for their first grandfinal in almost a decade, and keeps them on track to secure that long awaited maiden Bundy Cup Premiership.
Tries – Trent Trotter (2), Sammy Aiga (2), James Trotter, Cruise Iosefa & Josh McIllvenney; Goals - Andrew Dallalana
