Some good new maps, and a couple of from COD 4

I really like Storm. I hate Salvage.

I cant stand map packs. You pay the 100 plus dollars for the game then have to pay another 20 dollars for a couple of maps. I never buy them but then i cant play half the games.

What's the new snowy map called with all the pipes? The pipes I get stuck in and then shot in the arse?

I haven't played CoD for a few months but started again on the weekend. Boy, are my skills rusty. Either that or the crazy nerds doing mad quick-scoping kills with the Intervention are at another level.

I've started playing more regularly and I'm struggling too. Snipers are everywhere in all maps and are killing me with hipfire. It's crazy and getting harder.

Not sure if the matchmaking server has much to do with it but I feel like I've definitely gone off the boil at the moment.

Hmm, I found it much easier over the past week. I hadn't played in a month or two, and came back and found that the matchmaking had been patched to give local servers. A 34 and two 32 killstreaks over the past three days lol.

I thought so too but then had a game last night where I was walking death. It varies map to map.

Then, after basking in the glow of my rape and pillage, I got hammered in the next game with 2 kills, 4 assists and 17 deaths.

:(

No.

Just the maps.

I played a bit last night but had to quit a few games after being totally man-shamed by snipers who shoot me in the face from across the map. I seriously don't know how they see me hiding in some places.

The guys that use the thermal attachment are dangerous. They can see anyone from miles away. I guess I could use the perk to combat it (can't remember what it is called) but I have other preferences.

Cold Blooded. Easily the best perk in the game imo.

Yeah, cold-blooded. Then again, I use the Scrambler Perk which makes you pretty much immune to claymores. You can walk right over the top of them and they won't go off...straight away.

I played a game with a bunch of dudes last night on that 'bunker' map. The one with the bunker in the middle that everyone fights over. After getting sniped about 11 times before I could even move I switched to my sniper class (with cold-blooded and thermal sights) and just lay in the grass for 10 minutes. Every now and then you'd hear a rifle crack but it turns out all the snipers had thermal with cold blooded and no one could see anyone.

Except for the crazy dude hip-firing his Intervention...

If you are worried about tripping claymores, I suggest using SitRep instead of Scrambler. It will reveal all claymores, C4, tac insertions and grenades on the map. Scrambler alerts all your enemies that you're close by by making the map fuzzy - I hate that.

I went through the tedious task of getting SitRep Pro, and it increases the sound of enemy footsteps considerably, you'll never get snuck up on again. Love it.

SitRep, eh?

I might try that.

I played a Team DM last night on Afghan and we got beaten in what I reckon could be some sort of record. The final score was 7500-300. I got two kills...both of them matrydom...

Haha, I had a domination game where our team won 200-4. They held one flag for about 10 seconds, and never took another.

Seriously, this team was good. They had a mix of bad-ass snipers and stabby dudes who ran everywhere stabbing. I'd spawn...look around...BAM! Dead. Spawn...start running SHIV! Dead.

Our team were all miked up and we were just laughing. Guys were like "hide over here!" and some of us would scurry to a camping spot then BAM! Predator missile in the face.

Funnily enough we held our own on the next map.

It seems the release of the map pack has bought back alot of good players.

I consider myself to be pretty good. (1.20 K/D and thats after having a 0.25 when I was in the early levels) But games since the map pack have either been very even, or me getting destroyed.

I have played in a lot of Sabotage games lately where you have 6 guys with 30 kills and 20+ deaths as opposed to the 1 guy with 50+ kills.
