Yeah and if you guys watched The Sunday Footy Show before The Roast you'll see that most there thought Smith was in trouble.
I'm more inclined to trust Sterlo's judgment(which is usually spot on) than Goulds.

Yeah I saw that aswell Shorty.
They were saying that by definition it was not a "Grapple" tackle as such.
But everyone agreed it was attacking a players head.

If he plays next week the MRC is a deadset f**king joke.

I think it goes a bit deeper than just the tackle in question. Its all about the neck and the player being allowed to breathe. Storm players go for these two areas and soon there will be a mishap and a neck will be broken. Its up to us as Sharks supporters to push this issue, keep it on the agender in this forum and others ,we play them next!!!!!! What if Gal or Noddy or both ends up at Royal Nth Shore . This sort of tackling must be stopped. How many sponsors will want to stay with the NRL if players are being put in wheelchairs?

If he is charged it will be with something that does not attract the carry over points and with an early guilty plea he will be free to play.

I'd prefer to beat a full strength storm with an under strength Sharkies. The moment would be all the better to savour.

From memory Coastal (and I could be wrong) he will still cop loading for any prior incidents. It's 50% for similar incidents and 25% for different incidents. Therefore if he's charged with anything, once the 25% is added, I don't think there is a single charge he could receive that would not result in him being suspended for at least 1 match.

gould said on the roast that cameron smith shouldnt be suspended and there was nothing in it and would be a travesty if he is suspended..hope someone tries to rip his head off and then see how he likes it

smith gets off - green like to attack necks, fire up ross and gallen

I bet Gould wont say anything about sponsors. He and Rabbits do what they are told but its just the wrong message the NRL want to put out. It may take a player in a wheelchair in front of the cameras to ummmmm bring it into focus. It will be interesting to see how the media cover this issue in the next two weeks no matter who plays.

I just thought it was funny that Gould tried to say that if Smith gets suspended then it's a result of the media running the game!!!

if they try that sh!t on gallen, they will be smashed into next season faster then you can say "grapple tackle" and ross is ready to unleash the beast in side him and white will be shown how a real forward plays..f**k, dougy will run riot over both storm forwards..

AND Gould suggested that the NRL Judiciary / MRC have been "soft" lately, because Gallen could have done time for a few incidents. WHAT A WANKER!!!

Gallen didn't do time because he shouldn't have even gone on report in the first place!!

White's a figment of both his and Bellamy's imagination. There are at least ten better props around than him. Hell, there's probably twenty. He was brought up on the sunday footy show as being a player who goes MIA when the real hard work has to be done.

Cooper cronk is defending cameron smith, he said grapples are part of the game and he didnt get stuck in aggressively(absolute BS, what ripping a head backwards, trying to break someones neck isnt aggressive?)

bah f**k off you gronk

can't possibly get off with that evidence can he?

and look at lima with the chicken wing as well.

The roast were defending Lima as well saying that his only grip was the arm. That's true but he was already pretty much on the ground and he and Smith wrestled and bent him backwards which is the problem not the grip. If they just put him to ground and lied on him for 3 secs isntead of holding up and twisitng backwards there wouldn't be a problem.

I get pissed off with Gus defending chicken wing tackles saying "where else can you grab someone without tackling the arm".

There is nothing wrong with grabbing someones arm to tackle them, it's been happening since day dot. The problem is, and the picture above is clear evidence, that by using arm locks to tackle someone you can do some real damage as was seen last year when Cayless had his shoulder dislocated.

IMO J Smith will be in more trouble than Cam smith, his chicken wing was very blatant and is clearly indefensible.

This is Nullaboy's misses - a Broncos supporter. I could be sour right now (which could explain the tears running down my face), but I'm not going to be. Fact of the matter is, both Smith and Crocker should be gone. Regardless, Broncos played well, better in fact, but lost. I'm pledging allegiance to the Sharks for the rest of the season! Good luck to the storm next week. They're really gonna need it. Sharks are a natural!

Get on the Sharkie bandwagon.

Lets ride this thing home!

Giddy up!

When is the decision due to be made.

Or does the match review committee have to be reviewed by the match review of the match review committee.

Cheers
