Can Toulouse survive?

Maybe it's time SL went back to the licensing system with a 14-club league because the promotion aspect into SL is not working - Toronto were 0/6 before they withdrew, Leigh were regularly pumped and Toulouse haven't had the best of starts - the gulf in class is way too far to overcome.

Toulouse get a license, and then you could award championship winners one spot (likely Featherstone or Widnes) then a bid team (Bradford, Halifax etc) to make it more sustainable.

Another massive effort from Toulouse tonight against Wigan, they could have very well won it really.

Keep playing like that and Wakey will be getting very nervous! They need to pick u the 4 pointers against Salford, Wakey and Cas you feel.

Toulouse are cooked. They'll go down with a whimper, maybe jagging 1 or 2 token wins much like Leigh last season. The gulf between SL and Championship is too wide and it's an absolute embarrassment to maintain P/R under this model. Let's not forget the Wolfpack got lapped for 6 games before withdrawing in 2020.

They seem to be competitive against many teams at home. I'd expect them to get a couple of wins at home but not many more than that.

Will be between them and wakey. They look like they are starting to get up to pace but unless they can pick up 4 or 5 wins its looking like relegation sadly. How many more yoyo teams do we have to endure before the SL accepts P&R rarley works? There's probably only 2-3 clubs in championship with the potential to make a long term go of it in SL so just work to get them in and close the door for a 5 year period. A 15 team SL with 29 games would be the target imo.

No more wins as yet, but competitive against Catalans and seemingly unlucky to lose narrowly against HKR. They can get off the bottom at the weekend against Leeds.

They're toast. Blowing that lead against KR is evidence of this. Back to the championship they go. The stupid up/down yo-yo nonsense the SL craves will continue (Toronto were 0-6, Leigh were belted weekly, Toulouse struggling).

14 teams on a license basis. 27 games (13 home/away + magic). Top 6 playoffs. Solved. After 3 years they review performances and licenses

Championship winner should have to play Super League spooner to decide if they can go up or not

I find it amusing that Sylvain Houles now wants Toulouse to be exempt from relegation now that they are stone motherless last by a long way.

I thought the French were sticklers for rules now they want the rules bent for them?

Rules was exactly why they showed Jono Ford and Mark Kheirallah the door because they didn't want to take the the Covid vaccine. They actually had exemptions to play but they got shown the door anyway. Rules right?

Please.

Forget the over 10 years of loyal service that these boys showed and both were instrumental in getting them into Super League in the first place. And these were the players that kept the squad together on and off the field for the best part of a decade, not seeing that much now. No surprise they are last.

It will be quite amusing when Toulouse get relegated back to Championship and both Mark and Jono are playing Super League for Featherstone.
