Was looking at the table and i think we can end the doggies chances in 05...does anyone think this is a real possibility. If the knights and rabbits can beat them surely we are very good chances...

Was also great to see the ponies get beat, if we beat the doggies and the saints get over the ponies it should set up a great final round...

I just wanna know why we always seem to play the bulldogs with the backs to the wall?

I'm getting sick of it!

We will win.

Will be tough though as we always struggle to win against the dogs. I get the feeling they will rush in SBW and Tonga....

That may be to our advantage if they are underdone.

If they arush in tonga and SBW they might win but they'll seriously put both of them in danger of getting a bigger injury.

If the dogs play like they did last night u will put 50 on us.
But im sure they will lift for Parra as usual.

yeah! well that's what we're concerned about. however I believe it'll be more psychologicaly challenging for us fans than the 17 blokes you'll be playing.

I'm desperate to beat you guys.

Well Shwerin has a tumb injury that could keep him out of the match and Utai might get suspended so there's another couple of players that might be out.

Just for a slight addition to an ongoing theme

The last time the Eels and Dogs played in round 23 with Parramatta ahead of the Dogs on the ladder was 2001 it was also the last time Parra beat the dogs and 2001 Parramatta made the Grand Final.

Parra will need to lift from the opening 30 min display against the Warriors or it could be a long night.

Would be nice to think so.

I feel a win for us would harm their chances but not see them out of it. They still have 3 games to play after that and are 3 points out of the 8 (Storm still have a bye).

It's a safe bet the Dogs will lift against the Eels this Friday.

However, I believe that in the opening half against the Warriors our defence was quite solid.

Also, our attack was quite promising.

We seem to be hitting some good form - circa early-mid 2005.

That's great news, especially when we'll play in front of a huge home crowd.

Just had an Adam (peek) at their run home -

Parra (a)
Tigers (a)
Panthers (h)
Roosters (a)

With Storm still having the bye, that makes the Dogs effectively 3 points out of the 8. (Cowboys, Eagles, Sharks and Storm all on 26, Dogs on 23).

They need 2 wins to crack the 8 as it stands now. So they are already looking for one of those 4 sides to drop a game or 2.

While loosing to Parra wouldn't kill them off, it would make it extremely hard and require them to win their last 3 and rely on other results.

They will be made fully aware of this and will be playing for their season. Going to be one hell of a tough game. When aren't they against the Dogs though!
