Should Be an Interesting Clash, The Knights Welcome Joey Back, whilst The Raiders Showed Some Promise in a Gallant Defeat against the storm.

Also, Its At Canberra, Monday Night Freezing Cold, How Will The Knights Handle The Climate Change ?

Its a game, i certainly see Canberra Winning, ive been impressed with Todd Carney and Lincoln Withers atm, they are showing some brave efforts to lead the team around the park, while their individual games, have been fairly solid.

Its The Joey Factor, That Would Have To Believe That The Knights Will Win This Game, Without I Would Pick The Raiders Within an Instant.

has thaiday been injured or have they been leaving him out by choice?
Well with Kurt Gidley's current form, it's been hard for him to break into the team :p

Something to consider is that the Knights have only ever won in Canberra twice. The first was handed to them by Scum Bag himself Brett Finch, sent an in-goal drop kick out on the full on the stroke of full time when the scores were locked. Damn you Finch, damn you to hell!

When was the last time? Was it when they racked up 70 points? :D

I think Newcastle have well and truly thrown the monkey off their back after last year:roll:

'Embarrassment' won't be repeated

By Barry Toohey
April 02, 2007 ANDREW Johns has vivid memories of his 30-point haul in Newcastle's record-breaking 70-32 win over Canberra at Canberra Stadium last season.

But don't expect it to rate even a mention as a career highlight for the Knights captain.

The match might have set a new mark as the highest-scoring game in NRL premiership history, but Johns labelled it yesterday as little more than an embarrassment.

"It was probably the worst game I have ever played in - embarrassing actually,"Johns recalled.

"I don't know why but it wasn't much better than a game of touch footy between two sides who didn't want to tackle, particularly in the second half.

"It won't rank as a highlight, that's for sure."

For the record, Johns scored two tries and kicked 11 goals in his side's 12-try victory, with Newcastle winning the second half 36-24.

But Johns warned, as he prepared for his first game since being knocked out in the opening round against the Bulldogs, against expecting a similar scoreline when the sides play in the national capital tonight, despite the Raiders' winless start to the season.

"Prior to last season, our record down there was poor,"Johns said.

"And I saw enough from Canberra last week against Melbourne to suggest we are going to need to play very well to win.

"The Raiders would have beaten a lot of other sides last week - and with a young side, they are only going to get better."

So dramatic has been the change in personnel at the Raiders that only seven players will back up tonight from the 38-point hiding.

Captain Alan Tongue, one of those survivors, admitted that his side had looked at footage from last season's game during the build-up, but only to focus on Johns and how he might play.

Teammate Todd Carney, the man charged with providing some spark to the hard-working Raiders outfit, is adamant there is no extra motivation because of last year's result.

"It's not an issue for us at all," Carney said.

"We will be just out to get our first win up for the season."

Knights hooker Riley Brown is out of the game with an ankle injury, with impressive youngster Terence Seu Seu promoted from the bench and fullback Milton Thaiday called into the 17.

Thaiday's inclusion indicates that Knights coach Brian Smith will again switch fullback Kurt Gidley into the dummy half role at various times during the game, as he has done with great effect in the opening two rounds.

Raiders prop Dane Tilse will be playing his first game against his old club since his sacking by the Knights in 2005.
