Canterbury's recruitment

Well, let's see shall we..

We have had stars left right and centre poached from us. Mason, Sherwin, O'Meley, Asotasi etc with Mason and Sherwin the latest to walk out on huge contracts. Then, Tonga announces he is leaving for the Cowboys. I know you Roosters fans are thick but let's do a little bit of maths (you know, the thing were you add up numbers?)

Mason - 450k
Sherwin - 400k
Tonga - 300k

So, without going into the little things there alone you have $1,150,000 freed up due to players leaving. That's a lot of money for recruitment and a lot of empty spaces that can't be filled with juniors as no junior is worth $450,000. You try taking two $450,000 players out of your squad and not have to buy to replace them.

We have brought these players because we finally have the money too and need to because of other players walking.

I am hoping the bulldogs stay in the lower half of the comp for another year or two or for however long the rise & fall cyclic nature allows.

Kimmorley

Maybe you should of done a little bit of English as well as a little bit of Maths champ.

When it boils down to it, your club is doing the very thing it preached against.

Only after our stocks have been raped and pillaged. You cannot blame the Dogs for getting with the program.

I agree Sood, the Dogs have looked like a sinking ship for the past couple of years, lots of inner-club turmoil. I thought they would struggle to attract players as it seemed like a place people wanted to get away from rather than go to. But they have surprised me and made some very good purchases and Kimmorley for next year, well done to the Dogs' recruitment team.

. Love the wording of that sentence. 10/10

Mason was living it up out East even when he was playing for the Bulldogs. It's only natural he decided to play for his local team.

Now all Mason needs is to get that horrible Bulldogs tattoo removed from his arm.

Mason lives within stumbling distance of the Cloey doesn't he? That's Souths Territory!

Don't get me started on our stolen territory. Noone living in Clovelly associates themselves with the Redfern oddities. Its Easts, through and through.

It proves one thing though. Makes a mockery of leagues club funded clubs all being on death row.

And another - the recruiting power of Wayne Bennet is a bit mythical, isn't it!

says more about the dragons than anything.
