Hey guys, there a few calls going round for Ryles to be called up for origin 3 and i think Cooper did well enough to keep his spot, my question is, if both of these guys get in and Hornby isn't fit yet..... Who will captain us??? Creagh? Germ? Poore?

Creagh for sure, and i do think Ryles will get the call up as a starting front rower as long as he keeps playing the way he is

When Ryles was not on the field, the Germ went up as captain when Archer needed to talk to someone

Woolford is too irresponsible - he is a bit of a livewire prone to brain snaps.
Creagh is a good kid that if awarded the Captaincy would be likely to be a Dragon for life.

Creagh is the future of the club - let the future start now!

The Germ gets my vote, hands down.

I agree with Drake, he is running the show now, anyway. If he's off the field, then Creagh can take over, but it should be "The Germ Show".

Interesting to note that when Ryles was getting medical attention and Archer called for a captain, Creagh walked over before being sent away by Archer to get Ryles.

Woolford has experience in this area, but I'd prefer Creagh to be given the role.

Surprise surprise. Ryles and Creagh set to be called up for the most meaningless of the meaningless - a dead rubber Origin game. Praying they do a Gallen and fake an injury.

I was thinking the same thing myself Drew-Sta. Creagh went over as a 'senior player'. Archer simply told him he had to talk to Ryles about it.

Creagh isn't afraid to take the lead.

Not so sure about Woolford. He's not the favourite of referees or touchies. They kick him in the head nowadays.

i personally thought at least one of them should have been given the nod for game 2, with the way Ryles has been hitting the line i was surprised he wasnt starting. I guess with the game meaning nothing it is a good time to clean out the forward pack and backline to give next years origin players a taste and perhaps pull out a victory on the back of youth and enthusiasm.

But yeah Creagh should be captain if he is playing and the others arent available, Woolford can just be a silent partner

That would just be our luck wouldn't it. They'd pick Ryles, Creagh and Cooper and all 3 of them would come out with injuries.

I'm not saying that the above three are not far off from deserving selection, but there would be no better show of the NSWRL's rediculous selection policies if 3 players from the second last team were to be picked.

What about Wallace, Gallen, Monaghan, Fulton, Grothe, or even Lawrence?

Willow

Creagh is leadership material. Throws his body into the teeth of the defence constantly. If that's not leading by example I don't know what is. He would be 2IC if Ryles/Cooper were not available.

very true that, i think a lot of people are missing the idea that both games were relatively close and the majority of the squads were quite similar, plenty of players from both teams had quite average games
