There was some noise about it. But apparently, he was not "solid" in defence, and under a high ball- unlike the other rock-like players. Also there was concern that keeping Crockett would cost Macdonnel a spot. Plus there was Moodie to place on wing. All for the best really. Crockett can score tries for sure, but what Moodie and Mac bring to the side cannot be measured in mere wins.
