hmm,
in all honesty i reckon alot of us would like to see tim smith baack in the parra colours playing class footy...
maybe along wit DA and a creative 5/8 and supoort from the likes of andrew johns he could really thrive?

no questioning his potential...

haven't we flogged this horse enough????

The prima-donna's are getting nervous. Cayless is still one of my favourite players. But I just can't remember the last time he broke a tackle or smashed someone in defence. Hope fear has now inspired him.

Whilst i have absolutely no issue with the players being given notice that they are not wanted, i am a little disappointed that after 4 games, the season is virtually consigned to history as a rebuilding one. Yes, we have played crap in the last couple of weeks, but hey, the season is only 4 games old, and i would like to think we could give it a shake this year. Maybe this shouldve been done over the last off season, or waited till the next off season. As a supporter and sponsor, i feel that maybe i shouldve saved my money till next year now. If i hadve known this was going to happen, i would not have spent the money.

Maybe i am selfish, but thats just my view.
Disagree, get rid of the dead wood early and we are still in with a chance of a half decent season,

Nah, I've written off this season, but DA had to do what he has been doing. His predecessor just ripped this place apart, and was allowed to do so by those in charge.

In the end it's about value for money - there are guys in this team getting paypackets up there with Petero , Israel , Inglis etc ....but they are nowhere near the players that these guys are .....sadly Caylo is one of them .....he's given the club many good years but his time has come .......

i am happy to see cayless go... HOWEVER i would like to see it done in good taste and respectfully. He has served us for 13 years 10 good seasons :)

He should not be kicked out with disgust or hatred. He should leave with his head held high and take his journey elsewhere and be proud...

Cordoba has wanted out since he got dropped, to small for a prop

Absolutely , I'd like to see him leave on reasonable terms - NRL on fox stated that he does have a clause in his contract to leave if he finds something good in the UK ......lets hope he does .....

agree totally. Has been a true champion and deserves to leave on good terms but yes his time is fast approaching. Lets hope he moves on come season end. Personally I would like to see him play from the bench with the aim of keeping him out of the initial heated exchanges. Hes not what he used to be.

this is starting to look like Smiths 1st season at Newcastle.

Sure does.

Let's not forget DA served his apprenticeship under Smith.

I think things will get worse before they get better but DA had to do something or else we'd be in the same situation for the next 2 years.

Like someone said above, I hope the players still get the respect they deserve, especially Cayless who is our captain after all. 13 years at the club is nothing to dismiss lightly.

Im all for change, but there may be to many changes for my liking, I hate to see what happened at the warriors when Anderson was givin the boot a few years back happen at the Eels. That was one of my greatest fears when Anderson was signed.

Hagan destroyed this club, someone has to clean up his mess. Im all for what anderson is doing, u dont like it then get ur stuff together and go find another club. Not like hagan 'we're almost where we want to be' after a 40 point loss.
