We are not a top tier team anymore.
Board is living in the past with the glorious 11 in a row glory days.
We could have purchased property in 60’s and 70’s around Kogarah - that could have funded a proper centre of excellence.
What’s happening with that Sizzlers building?
WIN buy out has not really brought us an extra corporate muscle?
Sizzler has been converted to a child care centre apparently generating a 500k annual profit ! My understanding is dragons did buy surrounding land but had to sell it due to owing debts. Something is up at the Dragons and things seem awfully quiet there. No media or fan updates since Johnston has arrived.

I'm fairly sure St George Leagues Club own 265-281 Princes Hwy (i.e., the land on the other side of the Leagues Club when you're driving down the Princes Hwy towards the Sydney CBD).

The AGM may answer some of your questions (but I'm unsure when it is).

I say let's use the same yardstick as McGregor and give Johnston a premature contract extension....

Back in the 70's .... the club use to own the half a dozen houses in the cal-de-sac where the back entry was and as mentioned, a row of houses from the petrol station upwards along the highway.

They were used for players and families until they got settled.

I thought they had been using some of the facilities there for some time.

Correct, they use the words, 'Centre of Excellence' to portray something magical; of great beauty, something that we can look up to in awe! It also helps the board justify spending millions on something probably not much better than we have now.

It also allows McPainter to freshen up his painting skills for when he gets sacked.

The Gold Coast Titans started the 'Centre of Excellence' thing until it went tits up.

And Penrith has had one for a while as part of their expensive sports complex. Doesn't translate to success on the paddock, that's for sure.

Centre is the key word. We ain't winning anything until our club is centralised, not spread from asshole to breakfast.
