My new backline reads:

1. Simmons (Let's hope he lives up to the hype he generated in lower grades)
2. Open for discussion
3. Bailey (hell, he got picked for NSW playing out there)
4. Scott
5. Covell

6. Vagana (it worked for the whole 120 minutes it was tried this year)
7. Noddy

You either hate Albert or you just forgot.

Anyway, Bails at centre? Well, if you're gonna do that might as well put him on Covells side, seeing as it wouldnt matter if the ball was passed to Covell or not, while keeping Scott with Albert. (ie, Simmo; Albert, Scott, Bails, Covell)

Shark is a good man, he would have forgotten about Albert. I never ever want to see Bailey anywhere near the centres ever again.

1. Simmons - its a given
2. Albert
3. Moke
4. Pomeroy
5. Scott - He'd make a awesome winger. Runs hard and can tackle - just work under the high ball and he would be great on kick returns.
6. Nige - its the only way he sees the ball!

I'd like to see that given a trial. It is young but it has some serious size. Speed may be a issue but Moke and the Pom will be able to run over most centres and Albert outside Moke could be amazing.

i like that too K. i hope moke gets a run in the trials. is moke fast or not. can run over a bloke, but would be good to get some speed about him (if he is not quick) - isn't that why theyve got cathy freeman with some hints and tips :)

Defend Nigel in the centres and Moke or Pom as the 5/8. Mellor was doing this for Nigel in the games he played in the 6. Moke and the Pom have both played in the backrow so they'd be able to handle making the tackles - just gotta worry about the reads.

Won't matter -- raper will f**k it up anyway . . . and those people calling for Nige to be the 5/8 have as much knowledge of football as Raper -- IT WON"T WORK

With no Dykes its the only thing that can happen. 350k or whatever is to much money to be paying a centre that doesn't see the ball. Also sending one of the best players we had all season packing in a position we haven't filled since the first time he left and have no depth in gives our club little choice.

Nigel at 6 or Bird...

Well not all are as blessed as you BT ... just out of interest what is your reasoning as to how it won't work.
