Chad Townsend Leaving

I will talk footy Luke.

Chad showed a lot of promise and I think we Shark fans held significant hope that promise would shine when given his opportunities. Unfortunately, while Chad has held his own adequately, he hasn't shown the sort of play making we hoped to see.

Equally, he isn't showing that in NSW cup either. Solid, does his job but that about it.

Probably has not helped that when given his opportunities he hasn't partnered Carney.

Robbo has it over Chad as he s a better defender and in my opinion, reads the play better.

If Chad is given a chance at another club, it will be sad to see a junior go, but he really doesn't fit what we need going forward. Just my opinion.

I do partly agree with you, but I really don't think he sharks have given Chad as much oppurtunity as he deserves, the kid guides a team around the park extremely well and given his age is only going to get better.

I really don't rate Robbo, never have, that is probably clouding my judgement.

You guys should try and hang on to him. If not, he'll thrive under Cleary and Barrett.

Really comes down to who partners him I think Luke. My point was that when he has had his chances he hasn't had a partner the quality of Carney.

Anyway, whatever he decides I will wish him the very best. Good young fella.

100% agree, I think you guys are crazy for not chucking him into the NRL with Carney.

Anywho, if he does sign with the panthers (I hope he does) he will be behind John and possibly Coote, but at least he will be on a bit more cash.

You aren't really going to compare crime in Cronulla with crime in Penrith are you?

I thought you were here to talk footy.

I wish you would go away to be honest. I don't like you.

That's because you are not very friendly.

Why would you do that when Robson does a better job than Townsend?

Why would you do that when Robson does a better job than Townsend?

Because Townsend will be better then Robson (already is from what I've seen) the trouble is he is stuck in reserve and not being given a chance to show his true value.

Similar situtation occuring in Canberra, if you had watched Sam Williams play over the last month for the Mounties you would think he was absolute rubbish, through him in the Raiders side and he is a different player.

Townsend is young, a Cronulla jnr and has a lot of potential.

I'd be trying my best to hang onto him. If not, his more then welcome at the foot of the mountains.

Rather then talk about football, you googled that!!

Yes, in direct response to a claim you made.

Perhaps I should Google Cronulla Riots?!?!

Oh no!?!? Please don't.

Ill be sure and forward this article onto my sister whose daughter contracted hep c at the age of 4 from a needle stick 3 years ago on Cronulla beach.

You do that. Along with the proof that a Shire resident discarded the needle. Along with some evidence that one needle on a beach is a reflection of all Shire residents. Along with statistics of how many people come from Scumrith and it's surrounds who are suffering Hep C and leaving needles everywhere.

Good idea. You'll make her feel better

But what ever.

^ the creed of the clueless.

As I said, I didn't post on here to start a pissing contest.

Yes you did. You always do.

You come in here trying to stir the pot and don't like it when it comes back at you. You have the intellect of an anacephalic gnat and less football knowledge than a pet rock.

You could improve your standing by not replying and just f**king off out of here.

Bet you can't.

2012 v Titans, MotM. How many MotM has Robbo got in that time (honest question)?

Has only played 4 games of FG in the past 2 years.

Back end of last year everyone was complaining how slow Robo was and that the defense was onto him too quick.

dunno honest answer.
Robbo has been great this year...from all reports I have heard chad has not.

Robbo won us the game against newcastle
Also scored a few valuable tries and has defended soundly.
