OK then - non-benefactors. ;-)

Suity

and there in lies the problem...;-)

we don't have a rich business man of the calaber of Max Delamage, Nick Politis, Mark Bouris and Peter Holmes-a-court at the club to fish in the business associates and contacts that will help us out..

unless the club industry want to do their bit in helping us keep Tony at the club...:lol:

maybe we should send Vince Sorrenti out on a world wide stadium, "stand up" tour, starting at a 3 night opening slot at ANZ stadium at $350.00 a pop.

and Feleti is paid a tidy sum to plug his mic in each night....

I'm thinking he'd be a good tax write off for a builder.....anyone know a builder??

No, not a builder, but I know someone who claims to be a builder;-)

just back on topic for a minute. Assuming that on Tuesday its confirmed that Williams is in fact heading to the Sea Scum next season, what are your views on his role in 2008? Do we play him in the hope of him helping us win matches now or try to give someone else a go with the future in mind? More importantly do we really want to sit through headline after headline each weekend about how great a player Manly are in store for? Either way, this truly goes down as one of the great f**k ups of all time by the club.

while we're still in the mix, we play our best side, if that means tony williams so be it.

if our year goes pearshaped and we cant make the finals, he gets sent out the wenty's bench

Off course the team plays him if his form warrants it. Let 2009 take care of itself..when it arrives.

If we do eventually lose him i think you still have to play your best team this season...of which i think he must be part of. I don't like giving a club like manly any more of a leg up than the rest of you guys but i say pick him for the rest of the season if his form warrants it.

Gee i'd give some money to know the thoughts of Hagan and Fitzy when Williams was playing last night. They mustve been thinking 'gee we ****ed up this time'.

I wonder if the decision by the team to give him players' player has anything to do with a last ditch effort to give him a change of heart? Not that he was undeserving, but Mateo was the man as far as I was concerned.

On ABC grandstand they asked Hagan about whether the Eels would be having a late change of heart regarding Tony Williams and he basically said he couldn't see how the situation changing.

U'll find players player doesnt always mean man of the match. Last week the players player went to Brendan Oake.

Because he is a ****wit, and will let him go just to prove he and Dennis got it right the first time.
