I have to ask, why then did we extend those who look like being replaced in first grade; Nightingale, Aitken, Lafai? Why did we let Thompson go when it is obvious his replacements aren't yet ready for first grade; Leilua, Host and Sele. Will the likes of Field, Sailor, Lomax, Herbert and Garrick be happy to sit there in reserve grade while Nightingale, Aitken and Lafai are showing poor form.

It was a sad day.....I hate the way Mcboring sticks with such plodders, in the old days if a kid had true potential theyd whack him in there, say its your spot and just get better, you cut your losses for the first few games but thats life....they come good if they are good and I think this lot have it in spades

Ive watched the CS 3 times now and I think theres WAY too much negativity here! We blew literally about 5 tries! this happens in trial matches everyone rusty.....I think we will carve it this year

also watching the game well I truly believe one of the biggest mistakes in our recent history was LETTING COOK GO!!! imagine if we had our line up with COOk as hooker!! who was the jackass who preferred Rein over Cook???? I still prefer Robson over Mcinnes so hopefully he can steal his spot by half season mark so that could be some compensation.....Robson is 4 times the hooker Mcinnes is hes a natural possibly will be even better than Cook.....one more observations, how PUDGY has Matty Head ballooned out??

Sure there is a lot of negativity but I suspect it’s mostly to do with crap that is dished up by the coach. It’s been 3 years of ‘work in progress, we’re getting closer with our attack, players know their roles etc.’
I totally get the whole ‘here we go again’ attitude from the fans. I’ll include myself in that because it seems like a case of de ja vu (new recruits being the exception).

Im talking about when Mcwanker is rubbed out....as soon as we get a new coach hopefully early on after he loses a few as hes so bad.....wwll i damn well hope they have someone ready as a standby, Toovey, Neil, Smithy, anyone.....the janitor, the cleaner....

To be fair, Souths may have bombed that many tries too, if they didn't score so many.

Just looked at it again and have to say we are a very slow & scrappy side, nothing particularly crisp about what we do
We make very few clean breaks into the opposition back field and the 1 good break we made we botched
Souths but for injuries should have won by more

What if Bellamy had the exact same team ?

Selection policy would be different, intensity would be different, tactical know how would be superior, induction process for the younger stars would be significantly better.
Players would have total confidence in their coach and his methodology.
All that adds up to better results by a country mile.
At least we would get some consistency and smart football.
Apart from that, there is hardly a struck match between McGregor and Bellamy
