Ive watched the CS 3 times now and I think theres WAY too much negativity here! We blew literally about 5 tries! this happens in trial matches everyone rusty.....I think we will carve it this year

nightingale blew three tries .. all due to speed

1. He had to let the ball bounce because he was too slow to get it on the full
2. Wasn't able to burn the cover defence and had to go acrobatic - fumbled
3. Held back and almost got there, faster bloke would have been in a better chance to get there

Lafai blew one try by passing to Nene who had cut inside when all he needed to do was fall over (nene always has to hold his wing though).

Yes we blew scoring chances ... One of these can be easily addressed through common sense and patience .. Three of them though can only be addressed through replacement that wont happen.

What if Bellamy had the exact same team ?

They wouldn't have scored the 2nd or 4th tries because we would have slowed the play the ball down enough to get the defensive line set. We gave up fast play the balls way to easily there.

I think we are probably the worse at wrestling in the ruck than anyone else which gives their dummy halves plenty of space to burn us around the ruck.It is also one of the areas where we give away most of our penalties because when they are trying to slow down the ruck it is so clumsy & obvious.

it is to do with numbers and fitness ... as soon as we get two in a tackle we need to have four there .. Players need to be fit/aware to make that happen.

Yes he was impressive against Hull and they took him to Mudgee and gave him not 1 minute of game time

I wish I was and to compound it they didn't take Host to Mudgee as he was "injured" and needed treatment in Sydney but they declared him fit and he played him in reggies.

Unless he impressed enough against Hull FC and locked down a bench spot, that's just criminal negligence on behalf of our coaching staff! You do not come across a middle forward with that frame and aggression everyday. Disgusting use of bench personnel once more

They need to come out firing on all cylinders for this match . Hopefully ( I hate using that word - but with our coach there's no choice) the side has ironed out the problems that were so evident in the trial matches . It would certainly raise my hopes for the season if we can see a slick Widdop/Hunt combination in operation. Still another week to get this side into shape and to iron out the wrinkles , then watch out Broncos or the banjo tribe

If he pick's a shit side then no amount of heavy lifting by the crowd will stop a monumental belly flop.
If he gets the side wrong then we will be pushing shit up hill.
The Bronco's have plenty of speed and if they make breaks like Souths and Hull did then they will score plenty of tries.
We will need everything to go 100% perfect with our halves if our backs are going to score 1 more try than they do and in the end that's what has to happen.

Sidebar: Doust isn't gone. He is going. HUGE difference. Still plenty of time for him to f**k more shit up for us. And considering the assclown who is tipped to take over, I dont think there's much to be optimistic about on that front.
