Woods & Lawrie ???? now there 's an agile front row...At least we should slow the play the ball down.
Wait for the tempo to lift when the front row is rotated.

Very good team, great to see Hook going for the win. We haven’t won it since 2012!

Decant side.

Pretty much the one most picked by formites on the team thread it seems.

There's plenty of questions over how souffs will go without Reynolds steering the ship.

If we can gel in defense I reckon we could match 'em in attack!

We are well overdue...

They’ve still got a fair bit of individual brilliance in their side. But I think Reynolds is a factor that they’ll miss.

I think playing against Cook in a trial is a bonus. He’ll keep our middles honest making their ground, and will give us a fair indication of where they’re up to.

Interested to see which side Walker attacks. I’d like to see Suli and Ramsey’s defensive combo tested to iron out any deficiencies before the season. Although we may not have the same edge forward with them in round 1.

Also a good test for Amone. You know that Walker will be sending edge forwards at him with shape out the back. Good chance to develop his decision making.

This game will be a good test to see if our new signings will be an improvement on what we had over the past few years. The balance of the team looks impressive. Good backs and good forwards.

A win to us will be fantastic.

No injuries/suspensions will be great.

Good squad and wull get a decent hit out. Obviously some or most won't play full games or even half games.

I think Sloan will play about 30 mins, it will be his 3rd game in ad many weeks.
Ramsey will then move to fb and replaced by Moga on the wing.
The other starters msy get 40-50 mins spread over 2 or 3 interchanges

Sua will be the interesting one against his old team.

It's a good looking squad on paper and the starting 13 is not far off that which will be named for round one (barring any injury or suspension issues that may come out of the game).

The big thing this team list displays is there is going to be a lot of competition for spots in the pack this year, particularly if we're carrying a utility on one of the bench spots to cover McCullough. Reading the list you can see why the club was okay to let Tariq go and try negotiate a move with other clubs a year earlier than planned.

Woods & Lawrie is almost a battle as to whom will get a spot vs whom is going to be in reserve grade come round one. But who knows? Could very much be proven wrong as both looked pretty fit and raring to go when seeing them on the tele last week.

We've also got J Hunt, Gosiewski & M Molo all pushing their claims. Albeit lets see how they go this week in a traditionally more high intensity trial against one of last years Grand Final packs.

I'm guessing that Birdy will play left edge and Su'a right edge ? Both three quarter combinations have the potential to develop into something pretty devastating !

Game day!!!
Let’s go Dragons, I want to beat these blokes, it’s been too long!
Looking for a strong start, big defence and hard tackles. The points and flare will come later in the game, start tough and keep them tryless for first 20 mins.
