With a shuffle?
Personally, I’d put him on at 9 to replace Cookie IF he needs a spell. Liddle hopefully is back by round 2 ( 2 week gap between Vegas then Melb game ) or 3.

Putting LKT on at 6 then moving to Kyle to 9 would be more disruptive during the game but that’s only my opinion. I’m sure plenty on here would disagree with my thoughts

LKT is a better theoretical solution for 20mins of dummy half.. as long as hes been training there the past 4 weeks... because he also covers 6/7 and supposedly 13 in a pinch.. cant think of anyone else.

Still like the idea of getting in a hooker for 12mths though (we have to fill our spots with someone).. dont care if its just someone average.. we cant be living week to week praying that Liddle 'or' Cook doesnt get injured till R11, and even then im not sure Finau is the man... and Connor perhaps.. but ACL recovery time can vary..

I can't image LKT at 13 as much as could Sloane there.

13 is not a place to hide your worst defender.

Wtaf is Flano thinking?

Title won't mean much, did well last year and lost in round 1.
It's the Bunnies NSW cup side, but watch out for the Mamouzelos's dive over from dummy half and it wouldn't surprise me if Dufty crosses the line at some point.

Looks like only Kerr getting a rest.

My guess:
Cook will start 9
Atkinson will start 7
KFlan will start 6
LKT will be the 14

Cook will come off and KFlan will move to 9 and LKT to come on as the 6.
Cook could then cover lock, or move back into the hooking role if we're getting done there.
Atkinson deserves his shot at No 7 but Reed has set the bar pretty high. IMO Reed's performance was the best and most complete performance by a Dragons half back in a long, long time-including Hunt's better games. What impressed me most was the pace at which he played and his assuredness. I can only remember one error and our attack just buzzed with him running it. Yes, we can dismiss it as just one performance but damn-it was that good and he looked a class above his own teammates and better than his seasoned opposite (Smith) who was praised by Holbrook for his display.

If Atko nails it, we'll suddenly have depth and selection dilemmas around No 7 to dream of.

Without Reed I think we lose that game.

100%.. there was 6 moments in that game that fell our way: 2 intercepts, 3x50/50 ref no-tries our way + Reeds stopping of an intercept the other way.. if it wasnt for a bit of fortune and Reeds individual moments.. the game easily could have went either way. Of course the result wasnt that important.. but no doubt the 7 saved it for us.

But im expecting a lot of clutch plays from Atkinson too, defensively should be really strong too..

And if Kyle has a bad hair day?
