that's true, but the media focus on the three mentioned being snubbed or linked to the club, is terribly overated and which they continue to poke and probe at, lets get a few thiongs straight.

* All 3 are life members of the football club.

* all 3 are in the clubs Hall of fame.

* All 3 attended the functioned which named the Hall of fame in 2003 (I think that years right)

* Both Kenny and Price still attend the annual players reunion, i don't believe Sterling has been for a few years but someone can correct me there.

* All 3 still receive season tickets each year (not that they use them)

I actually enjoyed the article and didn't mind Massouds as well, but both have bent the truth to spice it up and that's what gets me.

Yes but Stags, some of those points are auto for the players, and the others are there own involvement to link up and celebrate their and their mates achievements in better time at the club. I don't think that most of the board would give a toss if these 3 did't turn up or not. Do you?

If they are not using their entitled season tickets then that there tells the story don't you think?

But again that is not the main message of the article, it is but only one of many real or perceived failings of this administration to come to grips with.

And I know that you enjoyed these articles as you have stated this before...and your name is not MITS.

Mate, I don't even read the Telegraph so you can take your sarcasm elsewhere.
I've followed this club for over 30 years so I think I'm more than qualified to comment; a badge with a number shouldn't be an automatic right to a superiority complex. But I guess that's one of the problems with our membership isn't it!!

The Point still stands.

The members are the one that can get change. Doesn't matter how long you support the club, it is about what you can do to get the change. The members are the one at Financial risk with this club. They are the ones that can get change, and I guarantee there are members that have supported this club for much longer than you.

I know that Chesterton's role at the Telecrap is to be controversial, but he really has gone for the jugular and kicked a club whilst they are down for no other reason than continuing the News long term campaign against the club.

I have no problem with the article. Why? Because he is right.

I'm not going to tiptoe around saying how wonderful the club is when truth is it's run by out of touch dinosuars with no idea what is required to be successful in 2008.

Good stuff Ray.

No I wouldn't want them running the club either, hence my last post. It's all out of desperation because its gotten to that stage.
And if the coach had full autonomy then why was DF the one who knocked back Kenny and Grothe; he could have asked them to wait for the coach to be appointed before he brushed them.

because DF is responsable of appointing a head coach, inturn the head coach will have a choice on who to have as part of his staff.

This however is a unique situation given the fact that Daisy and Cammo are still under contract and it appears that DA is happy for them to be part of the team.

yeah I do actually,

I've been outspoken all year about the clubs lack of recognising it's past on game days where on top of supporting the side, we should be celebrating the past achievements of our greats.

my work commitments means that I work at every Souths, Canterbury and some Saints home matches and i witness first hand what those clubs do to celebrate their past, we appear to have lost this connection at our club and I want it back.

i think it was a pretty well written article with lots of correct points in it...though it clearly shows rays personal agenda he has with some of our board and admin..I do agree with a few people on here, we do need a few fresh faces on our board, though going out and suggesting that the current board and employees dont have passion and desire for parra is laughable... they all love parra and want the best for it. I think a few fresh business savvy people are needed..

Maybe Cleal has a very good strike rate.

He found 1 youngster - Judas
and so his success rate is 1/1 which is 100%

I think that if you compare us to the Dragons or the Sharks then we you will find that our expenditure and efforts to achieve a premiership are on par. We are far from the chronic losers that he suggests we are.

My theory on this is that News Ltd will hammer every Sydney team until they get some drop outs, relocations or mergers. That of course will be for the good of the game.
Just haven't won anything in over 2 decades. :)

I am not to sure about what exactly is the state of affairs between these three former players and our club, but we all know that they have had major falling outs with certain admins' over the years. If they do have any welcomed association with the club, then it is a well kept secret.

But to focus on one or to slightly blurred references is to miss the whole point of the article Stagger.

Which is as a whole over the last 23 years we have failed spectacularly and very expensively to secure the most coveted prize in Rugby League, and the common factor is this board, which the MEMBERS who are considered by many on the outside and some within, but not enough unfortunately, to be sheepeople who just meekly and docilely keep voting them in. BAAAA.
Well said this is how I perceived the article.
