Those were the rumours, Roy Masters is normally on the money. I think he was only about 19 at the time though and hadnt played much frist grade.

Now Leslie Vainakolo wants to go to union.

Vainakolo was going to union when he was at canberra...then ended up at superleague. As much as the big man has been good in the uk he never saw his full potential in Aus and will just be getting a retirement fund from the english RU.......he is a kiwi in league but has no chance of playing for the all blacks at this stage of his career.

Also being a 'fast forward' (wendell etc...big enough for forwards but not hard enough, fast enough to be damaging on the wing only) I cant see much of an impact for him at this stage of his life.
