Anthony Griffin has partnered him up with Mansour for training / weight sessions so he can get rid of the cute fuzzy bunny persona and truly release the inner beast he has been repressing . :pray:

I'll be honest, some of you are surely taking the piss. He's been one of your most consistent players all year. Plays well for most of the year and had a couple "less" impactful games and you're all happy to let him go.

What you're telling me is that you've got the depth to cover his loss? You don't need a genuine first grader?

I get it that you've won a couple games and you think he's acting like a petulant child but you've leaked players consistently for two years. I don't necessarily think we need him but I can't understand the attitude some of you have.

In madge you trust. Totally understand the thought process but don't act like you haven't lost a quality player.

So much this.
In last year's 3-2-1, which is voted on by the very people in this forum the bloke came third (another player everyone supposedly hated the whole time in glenn stewart came second), he also Got a few votes this year. In the weekly match preview threads, for the first 8 rounds, almost everyone named him in the team they were hoping for that week. So for everyone to suddenly turn on him for a handful of poor games and for getting a release is bizzare. When the burgess brothers are accused of being a disruptive influence it's always dismissed as just paper talk, when the same accusations get thrown at a guy like grevsmuhl it's taken as gospel.
We don't know the full story of what's gone on behind the scenes, whether it's been a pure personality clash with the coach, whether promises weren't being kept by both parties, we don't know the full story so i won't pass judgement. Grevsmuhl was perfectly within his right to just go through the motions to collect a paycheck for the rest of the year so maybe good on him for asking for a release.
Personally I'd love to thank grevsmuhl for his good service for the last 18 months even if things did sour quite quickly over the last month

Which is exactly why I'm disappointed that it seems we let him go for nothing. For all his flaws, people who know a lot more than me think he's a future rep player and we just let him walk 6 months early when there were better options. I wish we signed him for the future, but he signed elsewhere so we should have either kept him for the year and made him play 2nd grade (for being said petulant child) or kept him until Gould (who loves the bloke) coughed up something of value.

Grevsmuhl can't hold the ball and to make matters worse he struggles defensively and has attitude issues plus gambling problems. His mindset has been wrong.

Yes I'm happy he's gone. We don't need players who aren't proud to wear the Cardinal and Myrtle and don't want to put in.

I am also not impressed with the attitude of Keary I say show him the door too.

We have Jack Gosiewski coming through who is a talent and has the right attitude and wants to do the Jersey proud so I'd rather him yes I would!!!!!

Now Mr Exsilium if Souths lose Cody Walker then I'll say we've lost a quality player with talent. I honestly don't think Grevsmuhl is a loss.

After the 2014 GF we lost quality in Te'o, Koroisau and Tuqiri.

So I can admit when quality is lost but I will always speak my mind on what isn't a loss.

so now that he is gone, does this mean we have stopped paying him? maybe there is now a bit of room under the cap to sign a forward..

I'd say he's left without anything from you. He wouldn't have been on big money so I doubt it would amount to a decent swap/buy.

Truer words were never spoken someone who signs 2 years before his current contract finishes should be shown the door imediately and has no heart for us good ridance, now cody is a different matter he wants too much money he was offered 200 wants 275 souths have had enough blackmailing if he wants to go, go dont let the door hit you on the way out ,personally he dosent want to leave i think he will take whats offered
