If it was purely a football issue then sure I'd make the concession. But I know a few things about managing people and I've got a fair bit of experience at it. More importantly, I can recognise signs of a bad manager even from a distance.

In Kearney's case the sign is big and flashing red.

The question isn't whether Kearney has been around for a while and experienced things here and there. The question is whether he has developed the knowledge and skills to manage personnel in this particular context. It isn't looking good at the moment.

He's obviously not an edge forward after his injury, and he's not in the top four tight forwards/props in the club. Top five including Hindy.

It sucks to be stuck in reserve grade the year he's coming off contract but the team owes him nothing. At least they're still letting him do his Shack Attack which at least increases his marketability.

Oldmancraigy, I think Shackleton's tweet happened because he was frustrated at not getting picked. He doesn't have a history of offensive tweets.

I get what you're saying - but the question remains WHY was he not getting picked.

I see no drama with Mannah, Allgood, MoiMoi and Poore being ahead of him.
