How the f**k is believing you're a genius a grandiose delusion. f**king rubbish bullshit and he prescribed me lithium the first of several medications he wants me on and he said almost everybody who takes lithium suffers from of the side effects.

Hormone problems, weight gain, a tremor, gastro- intestinal problems and those are just the ones that occur for most people. It can also cause kidney failure and thyroid problems. Lithium also primarily treats the mania. I like the mania. He can take his lithium and shove it up his arse. I was willing to give it a chance until I did more research.

seriously though,as a health professional I would advise you get a second opinion before rejecting medication.
for many illnesses medications form a crucial part of the treatment,as does counselling .They sometimes form essential complements to each other.

As is the issue with a lot of medications. Not that I'm downplaying lithium. That's one serious drug and it's good you're looking at other options. Surprised he didn't look at a weaker agent at first...

But they have to even put the "extremely rare" side-effects because it might affect 1 in 10,000. (eg. I was told to take endone, side effect is kidney damage- I got it. Lucky me. Some go unharmed).
