Sorry, I know my memory for what's typed on here isn't as good these days.

But this place felt like a 3P "love in" two years ago, and in my memory there was much more pressure on people who weren't committing to a vote for change, than there was any vehement support for the incumbents... No dramas though if my memory's got that wrong.

Could just be my memory's just blocking out some of that negativity :sarcasm:.

Yeah... gotta say I'm quite over alot of the negativity from quite alot of posters.... hence my absence in recent times. Nothing LU has done just people have turned me right off.
Sad but very true, the bitterness becomes soooo tiring.

It more disappointment than bitterness for me.

We finally got rid of the old board, but nothing seems to have changed. One bunch of jokers just replaced by a new bunch of jokers.

I loved Ray Price as a player. In my view the greatest Eel of all. However since retirement he has been exposed as a dufus with Brett Kenny a close second.

I think calling Ray Price stupid has become a bit of a cliche. A very unfair one. Can someone please explain what was so stupid about what he said in this recent quote? Okay, he hasn`t got the greatest turn of phrase, but what was wrong with what he said? He disputed the assertion that all the leaks came from the board, and he argued that the board were not responsible for Parramatta`s poor on-field performances. So? :sarcasm:

It isn't just that.

Some of the players said the teams performance was affected by the boards shenanigans. That's all I'm going off. Maybe they are full of shot and looking for excuses.

You'd know Ray. The wardrobe department from Saturday Night Fever want their shirt back.

Snub has Eels legend Price all fired up

EELS legend Ray Price has lashed out at Parramatta board aspirants John Kolc and Steve Sharp - claiming his former teammates are "making fools of themselves". The Daily Telegraph yesterday revealed Kolc and Sharp would run as independents at the football club board elections this month to help rescue a club they say is infested with "vendettas, factions, self-destruction and divisions".
Yesterday, in a controversial move, Kolc and Sharp listed five candidates they sought to work alongside on the board - Eric Grothe Sr, Nathan Cayless, Geoff Gerard, Sid Kelly and Dr Michael Johnson.
But incumbent director Price was left out.
Price came out firing, predicting members would not vote Kolc and Sharp on to the board.
"I don't particularly care what they say - but they should at least get their facts right," Price said.
"If they're trying to make a fool of themselves, they're going about it the right way.
"We've got the club going in the right direction. They [members] wouldn't be stupid enough to get rid of us.
"You can't build a city in a year or two. We have done what we said we would. Is it our fault Parramatta went sh*thouse this year?"
Kolc and Sharp sent a letter to the club's 600 members asking for "construction, not destruction" and to "unify our great club".
"We have had enough divisions,"they wrote. "We have had enough leaks. Professionalism, not personalities."

You don`t like institutions, do you, Casper? Governments, Banks, Boards. They`re all bastards, aren`t they? And everyone who works for an institution is an evil, money-hungry devil, aren`t they?

Hi Lingard, its not hatred, it's a complete dislike for slavery, let me explain.

Do You Really Support Slavery?

We are sure you don't think that you support slavery but, in fact, the design of "The System" means that some must lose while others win, with the vast majority being the losers (slaves/labourers). Everything that you don't do for your life has to be done by somebody else who would probably much rather not be doing it but has to to ensure that they make money to feed their families and provide them with shelter. Just because someone is paid for doing something they would rather not, does not mean it is not slavery if they have no choice about doing it. The vast majority have no choice about working unless they want to be on the streets. Thus, when you enjoy your caffe latte, remember that someone has been slaving away in the coffee fields for you to do so. When you find those bargain clothes, someone has been toiling in a sweatshop. Your car has been made in a factory where the workers would no doubt welcome the opportunity never to go to again. Even those who claim to love their jobs would probably be happy to give it up if they had the financial means to do so if it meant that they could be with their families and put time into doing things they love to do. "The System" is designed this way; from the top down it is a whole system of slavery. Everyone slaving away for however many hours a day is a cog in the wheel of the machinery of "The System" that keeps "The System" going.

Commerce = Slavery

While you have commerce you must have slaves to provide you with the commerce you will need to perform (slave) in commerce. Without slaves (administrators, bookkeepers, accountants, representatives, clerks, cashiers, labourers, etc, etc, turning the cogs of the wheels of "The System"), you will have no commerce to enjoy for YOUR pleasure. Then comes the issue of standing, some get to have a higher standing than others; all men are equal but some are more equal than others. Then comes the abuse of power that comes with standing - responsibilities, power. Then comes the world ("The System") we presently live under OR Over today.

We were all sharing long before we were invaded and conquered by those who brought us an artificial system and we were sharing naturally through love without having to do harm to MAN, Earth, Nature. Does you child need to pay you before you will share your apple with him or do you share out of love? Now, we are still sharing with each other but we share with each other using an artificial system that is a third party between us and which does absolute harm to MAN, Earth, Nature! Instead of giving an apple to our neighbour, we sell the apple to the apple buyer, who sells it to the shopkeeper, who sells it to our neighbour. Wouldn't it be simpler to just pass the apple over the fence for your neighbour to enjoy, and enjoy the days when your neighbour passes an orange over the fence to you. And we're not even going into all the taxes and other tariffs placed onto the apple!

Real sharing is what Love for Life is all about and is why we labour the very long hours we do to wake people up to return to KINDOM.

Whoever wants another form of commerce and/or another version of "The System", wants SLAVERY.

Regardless of whatever version of "The System" of commerce we push for, we condemn both our lives and the lives of others to slavery. While we are fighting against or defending "The System", includes any cause or issue, we are putting our energy into slavery.

"The System" is all about slavery while Kindom and LIFE are all about LOVE.

Lets Stop Giving "The System" Our Life

Lets Walk Away From The System And Return To Love

LIFE IS A GIFT
AND LOVE IS THE GIFT OF LIFE

LOVE IS THE ONLY REMEDY TO SLAVERY
