I sort of see where you're coming from Casper but I'm just not sure if I can believe it. It sounds like it makes sense.

I think calling Ray Price stupid has become a bit of a cliche. A very unfair one. Can someone please explain what was so stupid about what he said in this recent quote? Okay, he hasn`t got the greatest turn of phrase, but what was wrong with what he said? He disputed the assertion that all the leaks came from the board, and he argued that the board were not responsible for Parramatta`s poor on-field performances. So? :sarcasm:

Hi Lingard,

Getting back to the topic if we can move away from the Tin hat wearing.

What has Ray said in this article that is stupid, not a great deal. Not that I expect that what is portrayed in this article is everything that Ray said, but what the Journo reported.

Having said that, I think you will find that is where a fair number of us are complete jack of Ray.

Let me relate to you a story, some other forum members were present at this meeting and can independently verify.

Paul Osborne goes to a PESC meeting in August, to speak with the members of PESC about their concerns. One member of the committee asks, what is being done to keep certain board members from speaking to the Press. From that Ozzie goes on about how Neil Cadigan has sat down with the Admin and the Board and laid out a Media policy that they are all now sticking to. Ozzie finishes up by saying that he believes Roy (who is in the room listening) is doing much better with the press.

The person and a few others state when he is done, it isn't Roy were are worried about, it is Ray Price.

Ozzie's reply, Well Ray is Ray and Ray says what he wants.

I followed up about the Media policy and Ray and said, can we ask that all directors and members of senior staff say "No Comment" to any question asked by a Journo, Ozzie said he has gone one better and their policy is not to pick up if they see a Journo calling.

That is the biggest problem we have, a large number of what Ray has said over the past 2 years while he has been a board member has been ill informed or inflammatory to situations, and he still seems to be the go to man the press go to if they want a quote about the club. Seriously sometimes I wonder if Bulldog has just replaced Fitzy with Ray in the "Call for Quote about Parramatta" rolodex.

I wonder if Brett Kenny will be back on that list, if he is not running for the Board / got a coaching gig where he can't comment, not that running for the board or Coaching the club stopped him last time.

I have heard other things about Ray and some of his dealing with the Junior Reps that make me just shake my head, but because I wasn’t there, it is not my right to relay them, although I have had 3 independent verifications of what happened.

And further to that, I happened to be in a corporate box next to Pricey for the Roosters hammering. I went and said hello after the game and I still can not believe how much he unloaded about the club, the coach etc to me. I just went to say hello and 10 minutes later he was still rippping in.

I thought if he does that to a total stranger, I can't imagine what he says to his mates - and journos. It was pretty poor form and i must say I was very, very dissapointed.

What Ray said about Mateo on Matty John's show was also way out of line. He may well have been overweight and down on form (all of us knew that) but for a Board member to sl ag a player on national TV is not on IMHO.

Love his passion blah blah but he needs to STFU.

At the end of the day Ray wants the same thing as the rest of us. He just goes about his business in a different way to the way we would personally choose to do it.

There is no malice in what Ray does and given his life long loyalty to the club I believe the man is entitled to be outspoken from time to time.

He is no more outspoken than our previous CEO of the club. It's quite ironic how they clashed so heavily against each other...

I licence to embarrass his club from time to time ?

We'll just turn a blind eye to him from now on, like the boozy aunt who can't keep her boobs in at family get togethers.

you could change the name to Denis in the above statement and it would still be correct, but at this present time would not be the best thing for the club.

We should have a more professional approach from directors and officials, let the passionate past legends commentate from the sidelines on issues they feel deeply about.

Hi Lingard, its not hatred, it's a complete dislike for slavery, let me explain.

Do You Really Support Slavery?

We are sure you don't think that you support slavery but, in fact, the design of "The System" means that some must lose while others win, with the vast majority being the losers (slaves/labourers). Everything that you don't do for your life has to be done by somebody else who would probably much rather not be doing it but has to to ensure that they make money to feed their families and provide them with shelter. Just because someone is paid for doing something they would rather not, does not mean it is not slavery if they have no choice about doing it. The vast majority have no choice about working unless they want to be on the streets. Thus, when you enjoy your caffe latte, remember that someone has been slaving away in the coffee fields for you to do so. When you find those bargain clothes, someone has been toiling in a sweatshop. Your car has been made in a factory where the workers would no doubt welcome the opportunity never to go to again. Even those who claim to love their jobs would probably be happy to give it up if they had the financial means to do so if it meant that they could be with their families and put time into doing things they love to do. "The System" is designed this way; from the top down it is a whole system of slavery. Everyone slaving away for however many hours a day is a cog in the wheel of the machinery of "The System" that keeps "The System" going.

Commerce = Slavery

While you have commerce you must have slaves to provide you with the commerce you will need to perform (slave) in commerce. Without slaves (administrators, bookkeepers, accountants, representatives, clerks, cashiers, labourers, etc, etc, turning the cogs of the wheels of "The System"), you will have no commerce to enjoy for YOUR pleasure. Then comes the issue of standing, some get to have a higher standing than others; all men are equal but some are more equal than others. Then comes the abuse of power that comes with standing - responsibilities, power. Then comes the world ("The System") we presently live under OR Over today.

We were all sharing long before we were invaded and conquered by those who brought us an artificial system and we were sharing naturally through love without having to do harm to MAN, Earth, Nature. Does you child need to pay you before you will share your apple with him or do you share out of love? Now, we are still sharing with each other but we share with each other using an artificial system that is a third party between us and which does absolute harm to MAN, Earth, Nature! Instead of giving an apple to our neighbour, we sell the apple to the apple buyer, who sells it to the shopkeeper, who sells it to our neighbour. Wouldn't it be simpler to just pass the apple over the fence for your neighbour to enjoy, and enjoy the days when your neighbour passes an orange over the fence to you. And we're not even going into all the taxes and other tariffs placed onto the apple!

Real sharing is what Love for Life is all about and is why we labour the very long hours we do to wake people up to return to KINDOM.

Whoever wants another form of commerce and/or another version of "The System", wants SLAVERY.

Regardless of whatever version of "The System" of commerce we push for, we condemn both our lives and the lives of others to slavery. While we are fighting against or defending "The System", includes any cause or issue, we are putting our energy into slavery.

"The System" is all about slavery while Kindom and LIFE are all about LOVE.

Lets Stop Giving "The System" Our Life

Lets Walk Away From The System And Return To Love

LIFE IS A GIFT AND LOVE IS THE GIFT OF LIFE

LOVE IS THE ONLY REMEDY TO SLAVERY

Simpleton.

Yeah, I was just commenting on that isolated report. I can see where you are coming from, and obviously you are privy to information that I`m not. Fair enough.

sometimes i wonder just how highly the wellbeing of the eels rates in his priorities, at times his outbursts have put the club right under the spotlight when it would have been better to get our name off the back page slide under the radar for a while and rebuild

Much easier to pry Ray out of his board chair than it was to get Fitzy out of his CEO's
