On Grandstand radio this afternoon with Dave Morrow and Warren Ryan they stated that news they have is that Wayne will be going to Newcastle because of his link to Tinkler. Maybe SMZ might know more? I hope that the Newcastle bid goes to sh*t and Wayne stays at the Saints.

It really annoys me that some people on here are saying Bennett should hurry up and make up his mind, we would not be in this predicament had Dousty gave him a 5 year contract in the first place.

In that case I hereby would like state I heard a rumour that Wayne is Going to a choice thats has been vastly narrowed to either Canberra, Cronulla, Melbourne, Brisbane, Nth Qld, West, Souths, Easts, English Super League, Gold Coast, Penrith, Parra, Dogs, NZ, Manly and Newcastle.

I guess all deals are off now.

Lockyet said on the news he will take a year out of football after he retires....could this mean bennett stays another year at Dragons? Then head home in 2013 with lockyer as his assistant for a year or two then retire.....thats my prediction.

By the way, not sure if anyone has listened to bennett's interview with ABC grandstand after the warriors game? The final question he was asked about the reports that he had already told the dragons he was leaving.... Wayne's response didn't exactly fill me with confidence. He paused.... and said "well... you're just going to have to wait until i make some announcements". Perhaps i am reading too much into it, but he sounds like he's made up his mind.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but last year a number of things Wayne said in interviews pricked my ears up. He constantly distanced himself from being part of the club. Like he was an outsider doing the club a favor. Most coaches use the words 'we' and 'us' in the context of the club, while Wayne would say 'they' and 'the club'. It happened a fair bit and it didn't sit well with me. One in, all in.

He is obviously a master coach but growing up i always hated Brisbane, Bennett and Wendell Sailor and no matter how much i try to like them, they will always be Broncos in my eyes. If he goes back there i won't care. I go for the club, not the coach and any premiership is bigger than one person in my eyes.
