I watched the 40 Year Old Virgin last night, and it contained a funny scene where two of the peripheral characters exhanged reasons why the other was gay. One of the lines was:
"Want to know how I know you're gay? Cos you like Coldplay".
I laughed extra loudly to make sure all the Coldplay fans in the audience could hear me.

It's funny that bands like Elbow and Doves have much more talent, are much more interesting, write much better songs and have much better stage shows, yet are a third of the cost for tickets and people are so blinded by what radio and record companies tell them what they like so they will never get to see such bands and pay through the nose for a bunch of hacks like Coldplay.

That's one hell of a long sentence Alex28, but imo it was a shame it had to end at all. I would have liked a semi-colon, or maybe even an ellipsis at the end there to keep it going. Coldplay-bashing is a beautiful thing and should continue, for the greater good.
