CONFIRMED: Brett Seymour signs with NZ Warriors

Wow. In that case Souths must have one of their slimy, 4 fingered hands on the premiership then.

Well the one thing I do know is that they have bought well in recent years....Ben Ross signed for $49,000 one year deal yesterday, powerhouse prop Dave Taylor from the Broncos.....Isaac Luke a fantastic dummy-half runner, strong centres in Champion and Colin Best. They found a balance that works and hold on to future potential stars....I sense a bitterness for no apparent reason, but how about the Warriors great purchases for 2009....

Moon - hopeless at centre, ineffective at 5/8th, Kemp - a poor goalkicker, totally ineffective winger, Jesse Royal - average forward, Tate -injured, how about Fien's dumping - shown the door for Wayne Bennett to give the guy a shot as a premiership.......Jones - at end of his career given another chance that failed tragically....blame Hart and Cleary for little foresight and an inability to purchase quality playmakers, not average journeymen.

I'm not sure what you're point is?

$49000 for one game a season seems a bit over the top dont you think.

yeah....but if he breaks his neck again in that one game the club hasn't done itself out of much dosh....he can make $180,000 in incentitives if he plays through and performs - getting rid of Craig Wing has saved about $400,000 to splash around and build someone good.

Moon - hopeless at centre, ineffective at 5/8th

Moon was only given about 4-6 NRL games at 5/8. So, it's not really a great basis to judge him on.

As far as the centres goes, he has been great. I don't know how many games you have actually seen. But a couple of weeks ago, he scored 4 tries in one game, playing at centre. He can't be that bad.

I think he is a very solid centre. I also think he should have been given more time at 5/8. Maybe he was a bit intimidated with Jones playing along side him. When you have a legend like Jones by your side, and you are the newbie, you don't want to start over-riding the plays. I'd like to see him partner someone else in the halves, maybe he'll show a bit more dominance.

Moon has been more than average...I've seen every game, and the home games live in the flesh. The four try burst was against a team that sleepwalked through the first half and there wasn't anything classy about them - more like lucky. I can't say he did anything that stood out on Sunday against the Titans and nothing memorable in 2009.....but he won't get another run in the halfs.....that what Seymour and Maloney were bought for.

He wasn't purchased as a centre and fell into the role after being demoted as a key playmaker....with options out there failing also.

He layed outside Darren Lockyer at the Broncos, i doubt he was intimidated by Jones

I'm not sure what you're point is?

Injured plagued Ben Ross? Dave Taylor who has only recently began playing like he'd cut out the pre-game pies? Colin Best & Beau Champion, possibly the most lack luster centre pairing in the competition? Not that much to trumpet about.

Moon - Has hardly been given a chance at 5/8 and has looked adequate at centre to cover injuries, Denan Kemp who blazed tries in all year but has been on the end of an underperforming backline, Jessie Royal played well at the knights last year and came cheap. Fein who was never going to take us to a premiership win at #7.

My point is, you've come here criticising us, when your own backyard has been so utterly f**ked for the past 10 years. It's laughable. It's as if the bunnies are in the top 4 and you feel you need to preach the word according to J.Taylor.

Actually you are well wrong....I claim an opinion as a Warriors fan....if you pullled your head out of you're ass long enough to see the light you might even start looking forward instead of backwards.......possibly thats the problem. read the posts probably, they don't mention the Bunnies until you get all uptight and start preaching.....

Getting rid of wing? You talk like the club opted to give him the boot. You couldn't even string a viable 3rd party deal up him.

The club who signed Shannon Hegarty has little or no credibility when trying to criticise the warriors for 'dud buys'.

So the Warriors bought well for 2009? I can see a strong future for the Rabbitohs.....why live in the past. As I stated - you are only as good as your last game. Season has been average for both clubs...but the Bunnies have at least fired a shot and are still alive. Enjoyed every minute of it, especially when they can pick themselves up and turn it around.

I criticise the Warriors as a fan.....I pay money to watch them play and expect better. If you want to live in the glory days of Souths failures and Warriors victories, fine. It won't help much though.

I think people have been saying that for the past 10 years... and nothing has changed.

Did the warriors buy well for 2009? Nope, hasnt been that flash. But neither you or I have any idea who they approached and we turned down by. Moon and Kemp were not poor buys on the face of it - A talented youngster and a player who scorched up the try scoring ladder last year. Same could be said about Royal - a solid investment, but who has seemed to have a few things off the field effecting him.

Lillyman is the only one who really stands out as being ultra poor. Jones has been OK, we have been knocked back by about 100,000 other halfbacks over the past 3 years.

Sure you guys secure some talent. Usually you pay overs for them and they under perform, but whatever floats your boat bro.

Plenty of good players have probably turned down the chance to come to Auckland....we both know that. Their Australians. The Rabbitohs have spent well in the last two-three years, and yeah, it takes time to turn it around so you better buy well. Moon has been a bad buy - linking with Stacey at the end of his career is not like playing outside Lockyer. And Kemp just doesn't suit the slow Warriors style either. In fact, the Warriors backline style is a long way from the Broncos. They play fast, with deep miss out passes to get it wide and create the overlap or gaps.

The only gamebreaker this club has seen recently has been Vatuvei until lockey was promoted - and Manu hardly gets to run in space....inside backs and centres - Elijah Taylor has to be an option to run with Tate next season with Ropati and Moon gone. Another centre would be ideal, but seeing they have one a spot left for a prop a few of the backs could end up playing NSW cup until the ask for a release. I believe McKinnon at centre with Tate but everyone thinks I'm crazy.

Douchebag...classic. I always thought a forum was an open platform for debate, but in your 'valued opinion' obviously not. Everytime I come onto this forum I encounter a handful of guys with a big chip on their shoulder, claiming rights to comment on 'their' team....strange really when I don't offer cheap shots, am Auckland born and bred and a Warriors season ticket holder from day one.....I make the trek out to Mt Smart, rain, hail or shine, every damn game....do you? Or do you just watch the game in front of a warm laptop?

As far as the Rabbitohs having a bad season? Hardly....still in hunt for top 8, scored most tries in NRL '09 so far (86), have four players with 10 or more tries, about to hit 500 points for the season (1st time in clubs history) and flogged plenty of good sides with booming tries and high scores....not too bad. But like the Warriors I expect the best performance every week. Also, I get to see 5 kiwi's run around with the Rabbitohs which is very satisfying...but I don't come on here to talk about the Bunnies.

Additionally, I did expect the Warriors to struggle this season with the re-introduction of Stacey....I have never liked his unpredictable kicking game and slow delivery...especially up against much slicker backlines. I thought they would finish possibly 8-9th....similar to 2008. Open your mind and you may appreciate other people's valued opinions....I do.

You are an out and out cocksmoker who's is possibly out of his mind, where did I go on about the Bunnies? didnt post nothing about them! working up a little steam before posting eh?

Don't come on here picking fights left right and center then try act all innocent with "everyones picking on me" "handful of guys with chips on their shoulders" oh boo hoo! Then telling me to open my mind haha in regards to what? you whinging about what some Warriors fans think at the start of everyyear. Maybe you should open you mind and your eyes well your at it, you sure went off the deep end cocksmoker.

So when you see high octane at the game, in the street, on this forum say "hey cocksmoker, how about a pack of dicks?"

It's nice to cover a couple of pathetic mugs in one post...saves my fingers.....Look at what you just wrote - chip bigger then Texas. I couldn't care less what you think, but insults are your obviously forte and how you deal with rejection. How about keeping it to football. Bitterness has set in and I can handle criticism, but you don't even appear a supporter, condemed to chase around dishing the sh*t. Sad really.

Funnily enough, I think he's been close to our best for the last three weeks :shock: You know your club's going bad when he's hitting the defensive line harder than the rest of your mob bar from the left winger...
