Fittler would be on $300,000 according to the roosters. Firman takes up $175,000. U telling my finch, wing, minichello, stuart webb, ricketson, fitzgibbon, walker (After it was promised he'd have an upgrade from his $40,000 contract) didn't want upgrades but accepted less wages. Your bloody kidding me.

every other team lets players go, yet the roosters just keep signing more and more. THere is no way, absolutely no way you would be.

We have several players off contract. Cusack, Dorn, Lester, Catic, Cross...Until we re-sign or let some of these go, how can you make general assumptions like that butt head?

You are also guessing you will lose players to keep others at Penrith. Yo dont really know until it happens Mick. There is no way Easts will keep all their players off contract. You know it, yet you state they will and in addition buy more. Get real for once.

Thats a fair enough comment. However, you can't say those players would be on BIG contracts, like morley or if u say Peacock. dorn, lester, catic would be on peanuts. Cross if my mail is right may be heading to union, so thats about $125,000 there, Cusack you will probably keep cause Ricky aint stupid.

Now thats a fair call. See it wasnt hard. The same goes for Fataweera. DOnt assume he is leaving Penrith. He may, but youd be suprised what your club's management may come up with.

I know roughly what some players are on, but roughly isnt exactly accurate is it? It defeats the purpose of the challenge/exercise.

The cap may not be working. There's a great deal of responsibility placed back on the clubs to ensure it works. For instance, releasing players on Big dollars (Hello Souths), and running out of cash.....

In regards to an earlier post the roosters are paying firman's full contract. Firman only had one year left on his contract at Saints but now he has signed a NEW contract with the Roosters for more money. As such, st george arent required to pay a cent for him. As was alluded to earlier it is only when player wouldnt get as high a contract elsewhere such as Todd Payten. This wasnt the case here. Firmans contract is substantially higher than it was with the dragons
